Herzing University - Orlando — Attraction in Casselberry

Do not go to this school. I am currently a student at Herzing and it’s an absolute nightmare! I have one more semester left before I graduate and I honestly don’t know how I’ve made it this far. Many of my classmates say the same and countless professors have mentioned that they don’t agree with how the nursing program is ran and how students are treated. This school only cares about money. They change policies without notifying students and staff, changed tuition costs in the middle of the program, and are so unorganized with scheduling clinicals and finding nurse preceptors who are willing to be affiliated with this school!!!! My experience with them has been nothing but a headache. I am an outstanding student and obtain great grades, but I can’t say this school is the reason why. There are very few good instructors & the admissions/councilors are very nice, but all the oth staff could care less about you. The dean is a joke as well and does not care about the well-being of students or staff. I say this only because it seems that they don’t stand up for students, especially with the recent event when all students taking the milestone exam were given the wrong study material by their own professor and failed. They were set up for failure from the start! This makes me question weather or not this was done purposely? This wouldn’t surprise me with the stunts this school has pulled throughout this school year. My own friends attending this school have lost thousands of dollars because the program is garbage. Not to mention, the only good reviews are most likely given by staff member or students who were promised an incentive for giving a good review. As messed up as this sounds, I’m not even kidding. A recent flyer was sent out to students stating that whoever posted a good review to yelp, google, etc. would eligible to win a prize this week. Absolutely ridiculous. Please do yourself a favor and apply somewhere else, I promise you want nothing to do with this school!!!! Even one star is too good...

Please do your due diligence prior to enrolling here. They are so unorganized and continuously contradict what they have promised. They add layers of testing in an attempt to hold you back even if you are passing classes with A's and B's. You will have to learn on your own and there is no classroom setting. Most of the time you won't have teachers show up to classes and you will still be accountable for what needs to be learned. They send out incorrect emails through accounting and their curriculum/programming then don' even correct their inaccuracies. The head of the program and the Dean are both LOST and don't advocate for the students or take any concerns seriously. When a professor doesn't show up for weeks they still don't own up to thier incompetence and make the correct adjustments. Once you pay for the program, you are treated poorly since they know you don't have another option. Today my wife told the Dr. who leads the program that she should have done better research on the reviews because the school is exactly what those reviews stated and her response was "maybe you should have". Well that doesn't work for me so now I will make it so that students find out how poorly you run campuses and how rude and disrespectful the directors and the Dean which you have in place are. To those who conduct themselves with arrogance, take some time and humble yourself because you're not the Dean, Doctor or director at a division one or Ivy league school. If you think so highly of yourself, you wouldn't be in those capacities at a school which looks and runs in choas. What's the graduation rate there? I figured and that is a direct reflection of your programming and execution of it and the lack of follow through by your leadership.

Do your research and go to an accredited, well run University. There are copious comments and feedback by students which speak to the priorities of Herzing being solely centered around profitability...

I as a former student can honestly attest for my disdain and disappointing journey into this supposed University. In my honest opinion, this school treats students like they are a number. I will say there were some good professors.However, the overall problems seem to override this one good part. Prior to my first class, I was fed with beautiful lies on how I would be supported and helped in my academic journey. Within my first semester in the nursing program, I thought I would have the academic support and resources. For what I was paying, it was not worth the headaches and tears.

I have never in my life have seen such hostility and disrespect from some of the professors or adminstrative staff towards the students. It was a horrible experience in which the many hours one put in studying was not enough. I have never felt so low as a student or a human being coming to this school. Some of the teachers would treat the students as if they were beneath them.

The ebooks were pointless in which reading hundreds of pages in a short span was not enough to prepare for weekly exams in 8 weeks. There was no organization and consistency in the program. They said they offfered many academic resources.This was nonsense. An online tutor does not offer the same advantage as a live one. There was no real library or tutoring center. As a student, I was on my own. I felt as though I was fed to the wolves just to survive a class. All my money went to waste.In summary, my academic experience was an ill- fitted experience.

The amount of money was not worth the stress or constant failures. I now understand why I was warned initially about this school. I give this school a F as for a review .I have never been so happy and relieved knowing I did not continue with this scam of a school. This school is not what it is seemingly advertised on...
