Buyer beware! I have been working with Monarch since 09/2018 and have upgraded my diamond three times since. Diane told me there was no need to buy a diamond with a certification, and that alone should have made me run. The last diamond they sold me they graded and I trusted them. When going to get diamond insured, I had a GIA appraiser give me his opinion and was told that they were at least 2 grading systems off and that they diamond had a large feather than ran the width of the diamond. That severely compromised the integrity of the stone. When I contacted Diane about my unhappiness she told me to sell the diamond to a friend and that most people don’t care about what a diamond is graded, they care what the diamond stands for. She was questioning why I would go get a second opinion on grading and said they are allowed to be off by 1-2 grades, which in turn makes a diamond worth less by THOUSANDS. I asked her why she would treat a customer who continues to upgrade this way and she told Me that they $7000-$8000 I spent there was not that much money overall. I called Sean the next day who told me they stand behind their product and to bring the diamond in and he will make it right. When I went in he told me he had no diamonds to give me as an exchange because of inventory but to give him a month to find something comparable. I was asking for something that was the same price, appeared white facing up and no visible inclusions. When I called Sean a week later to see if he had found anything he told me that I needed to increase my budget (give them more money) or wait. He said buying a diamond was like buying a car, you don’t buy the first one that meets your criteria, you buy one that’s been well maintained. I didn’t know diamonds got oil changes. It’s been 7 weeks and still no word, no replacement, no communication. I would never, ever, ever do business with them again. I am ensuring that everyone I know looking for jewelery knows of the poor customer service and poor quality of diamonds they supply. They do no stand by their product or their word. I have also reported them to the BBB. Stay far,...
Read moreI travel for business reviewing various types of companies quality Management Systems. One of the key components to a quality management system is customer satisfaction. With that being said, I was referred to Monarch Jewelers from two sources. I waited for the opportunity to be in the Orlando area so that I could make an appointment with Shawn at Monarch. Sean was completely flexible to my schedule and gave me excellent personal service when I arrived for my 11 a.m. appointment. I called in advance as to the type of stone I was looking for and a budget. was completely ready for the process of choosing my most important purchase. I built up from the stone to the perfect setting for engagement ring and wedding band. I was not only please with the Dimond and the setting, what was totally Blown Away by the beauty of every single Dimond within that setting they were absolutely stunning. From a quality standpoint it was so worth the time to drive to Orlando and make this purchase with Sean at Monarch Jewelers. A ring is not just the setting but the quality of the whole presentation. And it was amazing did I say amazing twice? It is hey totally totally beautiful ring. Then, it was time to pick up the ring I was anxious to pick it to receive it to give to my lovely bride-to-be and I was going to be nowhere near Monarch during normal operating hours. Sean met me after dinner on a Friday night and hand deliver the ring to me after I had dinner with my honey. I honestly didn't get to really look at it in daylight until the next day. At which time I noticed the plethora of dancing diamonds. I leave this wordy review. Because it was so worthy of the time. I strongly recommend Monarch Jewelers and Shawn for all your...
Read moreI met Shawn at a wedding show a few years back. My then fiancé and I had gone to numerous well known jewelry stores and were always disappointed. I would always hear how they could order it or show me some stone in a giant book. They never had anything close to what I wanted. I knew that I wanted a gemstone for my center stone and not a diamond. When we went to Monarch we were amazed. When I mentioned that I was looking for a custom engagement ring and asked for sapphires Shawn brought out a tray, when I thought I wanted Amethysts, another tray.. when I asked to see how diamonds would look around the stone, he brought out another tray, don't like that size, ok here is a tray with a different size. We were able to build my ring right there and I could see how different stones/sizes worked out until I found what worked for me. I couldn't decide on what Sapphire I wanted because I really wanted blue and purple. Shawn was able to find a color change Sapphire from Ceylon and have it flown in for me to be the center for my ring! We got my fiancé's ring (also custom). Sadly due to Covid we were not able to locate the color change sapphires for my band but it worked out well because I went with a carved one that would be better for me to wear at work as a nurse. My center stone is so unique. It can be purple or blue or both and sometimes even black all depending on the light. Oh and they love our two fur babies who often visit with us when we come in to get the rings cleaned (which they...
