Me and my family are connoisseurs of Halal Latin food, we had some bad experiences over the year until recently. I came across this location on Facebook halal group and decided to give it a try and were definitely surprised. They are tucked inside a gas station and the owner was a great guy helping out at the restaurant. We took advantage of their BUY ONE GET ONE FREE specials for Memorial Day only on the Latin menu and we got a lot of food. Their Birria tacos, regular tacos and quesadillas were cooked fresh to order and didn’t let our taste buds down. My family loved the Birria tacos and the consommé was great and flavorful and didn’t have the strong gamey smell like some other locations do. We also tried their fried chicken menu and the honey biscuits are definitely a must buy including the halal meat stuffed Jambalaya!! They also serve halal breakfast, sandwiches and Philly steaks. They don’t have a lot of seating for dine in but you can go to Phelps Park about 5 minutes away to enjoy a great time with...
Read moreAs others have mentioned, this restaurant is not what you would expect. It is attached to a gas station which threw us off initially but thankfully there were signs on the door that mentioned halal food. The staff is extremely friendly, one of them even let me charge my phone with his charger because it died after a day of sightseeing. I am a little spoiled coming from Chicago so the birria tacos weren’t the best I’ve ever had BUT the wings were DELICIOUS. We ended up eating there twice during our trip because the food was good, prices were affordable and the staff was so sweet. I hope they get to move into a proper restaurant at some point, people are probably overlooking them right now with their location! I found them from Instagram but they didn’t come across my Yelp when I searched for halal food in the area. Hope this review helps to get...
Read moreCame last night for dinner and got the beef and chicken birria tacos with an order of gizzards. They were absolutely amazing! The tacos were made fresh and the gizzards were in the fresh hot food section. The owner came over and ended up dropping some fresh gizzards for us without us even having to ask! Very friendly and nice people!
Fast forward to today, we came in for brunch. My girlfriend got the turkey bacon and egg croissant sandwhich while I got the ground beef rice bowl. Both were very flavorful and delicious.
Definitely recommend this hidden gem!! They have a variety of options, even some things not listed like birria eggrolls or Philly eggrolls! I would also recommend trying their mango lassie which is out...
