Iâm from eastern Washington and I shopped visiting nurses, I bought 3 pairs of jeans marked the wrong sex, they said women when they were mens jeans, so of course the mens size didnât fit, my daughter lost the receipt but clearly they were marked with visiting nurses of Centralia, all I wanted was to exchange for Womens jeans, I wasnât even wanting money back. Everything is donated to you people itâs hardly going to set you back any by treating people with understanding especially when it was your mistake on the jeans. I had zero use for the jeans so now you get to resale the jeans I already bought thanks for taking me for $28. And youâre welcome for getting to make more money from the jeans you get to sell again. Thanks for nothing!
Well first of all YOU marked mens jeans as womens, I donât stoop so low as to steal from a thrift store, my daughter used her debit card besides the bar code you have on your tags should have told you they were paid for but you use the excuse I had no receipt. You never mentioned that you get to sell the jeans I already bought again so whoâs stealing from who. Itâs ok for you to rip me off but you accuse me by putting me in the category of thieves. Do better you could have looked up the tags I brought into you. Whatâs the point...

I brought my elderly mom here. Sheâs on a cane and has no gall bladder. She stands up, she needs a bathroom. The clock is ticking on how long she has. So, we go here because we know there are facilities. I just checked. There is NO signage on the door stating no public restrooms available for the elderly. Comân guys. I can hold it. I have nurse bladder, so itâs made of steel. She does not have a bladder of steel. You know the geriatric community, they need restrooms. Frequently. At least leave a bag of complimentary depends at the door to accommodate maybe, if thatâs how itâs going to be going forward.
So, my elderly mother had to hobble across the street on her cane, where she felt obligated to spend more money just to use the bathroom. Not cool, visiting nurses, not cool.

Used to be fantastic, now prices match Goodwill. Pricing is no longer thrift pricing but matches Goodwill in that itâs cheaper to buy new shirts at Ross. Go to New Light for thrift...
Read more9/22/25 11AM. I have always donated to Visiting Nurses since my experience with them in my home for hospice for several eldery family members has been outstanding but after today and the treatment I received by the man while donating items I will not be donating anymore. I thought I was being helpful by donating my used clothing already on hangers along with donating the hangers. The man must have thought I was deaf because as I was leaving he definitely told his coworker how it was stupid for people to leave clothes on hangers. In my mind I thought I was being helpful. If you have a policy about hangers perhaps put that on your denied items board that you have outside. I definitely could have removed the hangers in order to comply. It is sad and shameful for your workers to be unnecessarily rude to ones that are simply trying to do a good deed. I do hope someone in charge will speak to him about...
