My girlfriend originally referred me here! The place is modern and clean, and all of the staff are super friendly and professional. I always feel welcome, and they greet me and always remember all the stupid stuff I blab to them about haha.
I have a few small acne scars on my face, which I've always tried getting rid of. I first tried their microneedling treatment with PRP. The nurse practitioner Jennifer did the treatment. They put numbing cream on me and had me wait about 30 minutes before doing the treatment. Then Jennifer came at me with this needle device and every ounce in me wanted to say hell no don't touch me with that, but instead I sucked it up and let her do the treatment. My skin was red for a couple days and I really saw some improvement in my skin. It wasn't a big deal but I get so much anxiety with needles that I wasn't sure I wanted to continue with this treatment. Jennifer was awesome (it was me, not her, lol), she has great bedside manner and made me feel comfortable.
Then last week I saw an announcement on Instagram about their new Picoway Resolve laser treatment to help with texture. I called and from what it sounded like, it didn't seem to be a very painful laser at all. They said it would help with my acne scars so I scheduled and came in to give it a try. To my surprise, they said I don't need to numb but I can. I really didn't want to wait the half hour to numb so I just went for it. The treatment feels like kinda scratchy, but it was actually wasn't bad at all. Next time I might numb, but it wasn't really painful at all. It just felt hot after. They have me a machine that blew cold air on my face. I wasn't sure I was ever going to let that thing go, but after a few minutes the heat was mostly gone as well. It's now been a few days and my skin looks awesome. They told me it could take a couple months to see full results but my skin is already feeling a little smoother. I'll take it. I'll definitely come back for this treatment. My girlfriend thinks I'm a baby, but what guy likes pain haha. That whole beauty=pain thing is for women, not men. We don't like stuff to hurt. And as far as needles...I just don't like them. I MAY do more microneedling but I'm not committing at the moment. This Picoway I can do again for sure.
Sorry for the super long essay, but I just wanted to give as many details as I could because I know it can be scary for first-timers to try this type of stuff.
Some tips: There is plenty of parking in the lot! Call! They'll walk you through the procedures so you'll know exactly what you are doing. There is SO much good food within a 300 foot radius of Belle Vie, so get your grub on after...
Read moreI guess I should give my whole experience since that is what is most accurate. I called a few times over a couple of weeks and there was no answer during business hours. I then went to the website and asked for someone to contact me to schedule a consultation and no one got back to me. I finally was able to get ahold of someone who scheduled me for yesterday after about two weeks. The clinic is really nice and bright/ well maintained. I waited about 20 min and went in with the NP, I can’t remember her name but I think it was Nicole. I had come to get Botox and discuss getting lip filler and under eye filler, and possible treatment for what I thought was melasma. I got the Botox, which I think was the proper amount, as I have had it before. I think she applied it properly. I like her and found her friendly. I guess my only issue was that I asked about under eye filler and she said she wouldn’t treat me unless I also allowed her to do a $1200 morbeus procedure on my whole face and neck, and inject filler into my upper cheeks which would have changed the shape of my face. She said she would not give me under eye filler unless I let her do everything else to my face that she wanted. Even though I went in for a consultation on lip filler as well, and let her know during the appointment, it was never discussed so I didn’t end up getting any information about it at all from her. I felt kind of bad about myself after I left because she went over all the parts of my face that she felt looked aged or saggy and wanted me to do a lot of work. One of the problems with it was that she said certain areas were aged even though those areas have always looked that way. She pointed out multiple areas I’ve never noticed, which did make me feel pretty bad. I have to note that I am 39 but everyone who meets me thinks I am around 32 or even younger. The Botox itself was great. Waiting on the results but I am sure it will work. She did inject it skillfully. I shouldn’t have been surprised about the critique of my whole face, I know that is their job, it just stung then and later on. I do like her and would use her again, I’m just not sure I was ready for the appointment that I had. I do still want lip filler though, possibly. I got some information from a kind woman at the front desk after my appointment so I may set up an appointment for another consultation to...
Read moreI went to Belle Vie based on the positive reviews considering I wanted to get microneedling done and my understanding that it isn’t safe to get that done just anywhere. I had gotten microneedling with Anteage ($700) at another place and I had been wanting to get microneedling with PRP, but the price at this other place was around $900. Luckily I found Belle Vie had Microneedling w PRP for $600! I made my appointment online and received notifications about my upcoming appointment. Personally I don’t like talking to people on the phone so it was nice being able to do this via text/e-mail.
Once there the staff takes your temperature and offer sanitizer to do a self check-in using an iPad. I waited about 3 minutes before I was walked to the room where the procedure would be taking place. Irene helped me out and she was great! Very friendly and made me feel comfortable during the blood withdrawal and the face numbing. Once that was done Christine Yanikian walked in and began to walk me through the process. She did specify that she is “aggressive” (her words) with microneedling to optimize results. She explained she would be using a 3mm depth for microneedling and I think the other place I got it at was 2mm. I preferred the 3mm depth because it would get into more layers of the skin so better results.
The procedure itself did hurt as it would be expected. I would describe the pain as getting a tattoo on your face, but I really just want to get better skin texture and smaller pores at all cost lol. Towards the end Christine reminded me of what to do for the aftercare. I walked myself out and I paid and that was that.
I would recommend this place based on the professionalism and the price point. I am now at home recovering and I already see a difference on the skin issue I wanted fixed. I will definitely be returning to Belle Vie for other possible...
