Bad business practices, poor quality, AND overcharges. DO NOT do business with Asurion (UBreakitifixit) in CERRITOS.
If you are looking for tech repairs, even from Asurion - go somewhere else besides the CERRITOS location. Asurion has franchise locations, so each customer service experience and location may be different, depending on the owner.
First, I have had two good experiences from Asurion - at the Downey and Fullerton locations.
In CERRITOS, I was told the price would be $29.99. Unfortunately, I didn't notice on the work order receipt the price was $79.99. When I came to get my phone, I disputed the work order quote, Mobin (from Asurion), said I would have to pay the $79.99 but he would accept $70.00.
Less than a day after picking up my phone, the screen protector started bubbling through the phone. I returned to the location, and a different tech said Mobin wasn't available for a week, and he wasn't sure if they would replace the protector at no cost.
I went to Asurion in Fullerton, I explained my experience in CERRITOS, and showed them the receipt, they immediately saw I was overcharged. The service should have been $29.99.
I have contacted Asurion corporate to file a complaint and request for refund.
Asurion-CERRITOS CANNOT be trusted to be fair, ethical, and to provide quality service.
Update Aug. 21
Someone from the store contacted me, extremely rude, as I attempted to share facts about my experience, he kept interrupting me, eventually saying they have video and audio of my visit, I asked to see and hear it, and he hung up on me.
I would advise everyone to avoid this...

However
3/5 stars For context, I work as a sound engineer and do electronic repairs and maintenance from time to time
Made an appointment, was there at opening (10am), was told about an hour and a half.
I called at the three hour mark and they were like "yeah it's ready!"
Ok, so why did I give a phone number to call if they're not going to bother?
Also, When I spoke with the repair tech initially I asked about re-sticking my phone case to the phone with double sided tape. He said no problem. When I arrived, he had not added the case and I'm glad he didn't because the phone was filthy. He had the double sided tape ready to go and peeled off the protector to stick it when I then stopped him. The phone was filthy from both the usual grime and also the previous adhesive from the cover. I asked if they had an alcohol wipe I could use first and he just looked at me confused. I declined to finish what he started so I could just take it home and do it myself. It seems a basic wipe down should be a regular part of a repair, no? In fact, precious adhesive "gunk" remains on the edge of where the screen was replaced which makes me concerned that there's chunks of "gunk" under the replacement screen. I took pictures to be safe.
Lastly, as I was about to leave he mentions "oh hey by the way I noticed your hinge during the repair, your insurance covers a replacement "
A phone call mid-repair to inform me of this potential fix was a huge missed opportunity for him to provide exceptional customer...
Read moreIn a rush I placed my hot coffee tumbler in the same carrier with my gorgeous fairly new 16” Mac Pro Laptop. The next few days my laptop would not launch properly. I took it to Apple Store who worked on it to no avail advising the problem was due to water damage. They advised the cost to repair exceeded $1800 and recommitting that I purchase a new 13” Air Mac for the same price and take advantage of the current promotion giving AirPods free of charge.
I was bummed and says I needed to think about my next step. Years ago prior to the pandemic I took my iPad & iwatch repaired at Ubreak it so I decided to take it there. They were no longer at the nearby location however I found a location about 30 miles away.
I called and a very nice geek said to bring it in and normally they could repair it for about $170. I was elated. They called in 2 weeks advising the motherboard needed to replace costing $220. Again I was elated. I picked it up about a week later and they signed me up for the Asurian plan bringing the cost down to &200. Again I am elated. My gorgeous 16” Pro Mac labor is as good as new and I have insurance to repair all my home electronics for less than AppleCare plan.
I am a lifetime client very happy with the geek service as I am a geek too and will recommend their services...
