This place has a MOUNTAIN of games. I spent at least a half an hour looking through all of the used games they sell here. But I did not find any rare titles. I bet someone in this city knows that Legend of the Dragoon is a rare title as well as the .hack series on PS2. You won't be able to find any copies of E.T. or ShaqFu here.
They also sell used units of PS4's, PS Vita's, PS VR, and old Nintendo consoles in here. They have a few Xbox's as well. It surprized me to see an Atari 2600 still in its case! Unopened! Original 1980's artwork as well! I am sure this will dissappear fast.
The shelves are a little bit out of alphabetical order, but honestly? This place has A MOUNTAIN OF GAMES! You can't expect the small section of PS Vita games they have to be correctly placed when the PS2 library is pretty much growing like weeds in this store. PS2 games are EVERYWHERE in here.
The desk is always filled with cases. So when you walk up be sure to leave a name so they can call it out to help you next. Just stop asking for rare titles. What they have is on the shelves. If you can't find it, they most likely do not have it anymore.
Seriously I came inside looking for a copy of FF8. Nope. Gone. That game is pretty hard to find at physical stores.
Just gonna have to buy that sketchy copy from ebay if you can't...
Read moreOverall it’s definitely a cool place to visit, would totally recommend it to people. I just had one weird issue with my particular games though. I purchased 2 PS1 games. I attempted playing both, however, neither of them worked. Of them, none were scratched and didn’t appear to have any damage on the decal side either. I’d have returned them, but the weather prevented me from making it back within the 2 weeks return period. The 2nd time I stopped by, I purchased 3 games, all of those worked. I plan on trying it again sometime to make a final conclusion on the place. But it’s definitely worth the drive if you want a bucket of nostalgia dumped on your head.
Edit: I finally got around to returning. Bought some good games that all work perfectly fine. Makes me wonder what could possibly be wrong with those first two discs. Of course they buy and sell games so it's understandable that some nonfunctional games may occasionally slip through the cracks. The people that work here are pretty nice, and appear to have a pretty good understanding of the work they do. If you need someone to grab an item from behind the counter, seriously just give them a holler, it's literally their job...
Read moreCould be a great store except that the DVDs are horribly misalphabetized. Most movies are not even close to where they should be so it's nearly mpossible to find what you need. I was told that "it's impossible to keep it current" but it looks like they aren't trying. Every library does it because it is a priority. Week after week I shopped there and the SAME movies are still way out of order; I never saw any of the staff organizing them. I will change my rating when someone decides to fix it. Added...it's not.just the publicly funded library. Private Barnes and Noble does it, two family owned bookstores do it, all of the Family Video store until recently did it, and all of the former bookstores (Borders, TIS, College) and video stores (Blockbuster, Hollywood, That's Rentertainment) all did it. Everyone. Organizing by the first letter is absurd. Nobody would look for Back to the Future near the end near movies that start with "By" when you have so many movies that start with B. It wastes the employees time as well as ours. At least file by two letters.and give.us the possibility of finding them. They just say "We must not have it" when they...
