Direct Car Audio — Attraction in Chandler

I came here to get a deck and brought my own subwoofer/amp combo to be installed. I bought a deck from them that was a fair price, I could have saved about $50 on the internet but that's standard for anything really. The shop is small and the entrance is in the back which felt a little off and the shop was just packed full of so much stereo equipment that there wasn't much room to walk around. The show cars were pretty sweet, one of them had a body kit designed by them out of cardboard haha. The install is pretty damn good, no wires showing or any of that and they did it pretty quick. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, and the guy at the front desk deterred me from buying an expensive deck that I had in mind and told me why I should downgrade to something with a little less extras for a much better price, saved myself about $200. Thank you! The only problem I had was that the bezel around my deck was hand crafted through them and looks pretty bad. It is more shallow then the temperature controls and you can see part of the inside of the car on the edges, and feels flimsy. They try to get you in as soon as possible. They should have waited a day and ordered an actual bezel to go around the deck that looks better, so I recommend telling them that, or bring your own. I am going to purchase one online ($15 on ebay) and pull it out and install the new one myself. Other than that it was all great. I had a back up cam device installed on my car and the guy that did it didn't even know that to make the touch screen work properly he had to calibrate it. The camera in the back just was stuck in on the sides and not screwed and fell off the same day. They were rude and made fun of the device I had bought and really made me feel as if I were dumb and didn't know what to purchase they called it cheap product and said they get ppl with cheap bought products all the time and said People don't know what they really need. They really tried to up sale me to their very overpriced radio. I am very disappointed with the lack of quality of work they did. I cant even use my back up camera because the sensor doesn't work and now I have to probably have to repay a real professional to fix the poor job they did. These guys are the best and have been for as long as I can remember. I was originally turned on to them by my father who swore by them. I was immediately impressed by the easy going, no pressure sales. Most places take you too the most expensive product and tell you that you have to have that exact product but these guys never did. He took me to what he thought would work best for what I wanted and it turned out to be extremely reasonable. The install was prestine and looked better than stock (sounded a whole hell of a lot better too). This was 11 years ago on my first vehicle. Since then I have own 5 different vehicles and he has put at least a stereo if not more in everyone of them and as long as he'll have me I'll keep coming back.
