If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. My children and I checked in at 7pm. We were there 1hr at most. The place was disgusting, nothing like the photos. The pool is not maintained whatsoever. I called front desk and explained the issues we were having and that we would not be staying it was far too dirty for myself and 3 children. When we got back to the room from the pool my children walked on the wood floors and their feet were black within minutes. You could tell the floors had not even be cleaned properly. Over the phone she was very nice and understanding however she completely lied to me said it was no problem I would probably have a cleaning charge but I needed to turn in the key so I would not be responsible for the room. but to call the manager in the morning. We left at about 730pm. I turned in my key like I was told, however, she didn't check me out, she left me in the system on purpose. Very shady, she knew exactly what she was doing. She explained the manager was the only one that could refund the charge and that she would handle it in the morning and issue the refund. The next morning I call and the manager Amber is by far the rudest manager I have ever dealt. She flat out refused to refund anything. Claimed the room was used and I'm literally shaking my head in disbelief. She even goes on to say we used the pool so we will not be refunded. Are you kidding me??? The pool was disgusting which is exactly why we were only there 20mins. We checked in at 7 and was at the pool from maybe 720-740 . 20 minutes at most, and in reality the manager Amber was not even on the grounds at that time. So how would she even know, weird for sure. The front desk lady basically just told me what i wanted to hear but knew they wouldn't be giving me any refund. Who runs establishments like this??? So dishonest and greedy. The motel looks nothing like the pictures, it is very crappy. It seems they tried to renovate, but definitely cut corners big time!! They have no pool towels, they basically make you use the towels from your room that are supposed to be for showering. no travel shampoo or conditioner like most hotels. There was a huge hole cut out of the wall for a tv but obviously was cut way too big and The inside of the wall was exposed. The showers were dirty, and didn't even have toilet paper in our room, like none. The mini fridge was full of dents. When we went to the pool, I stopped by the front desk to ask for some, I'll just say that at 745pm when I turned my key in, there still was no toilet paper in the room simply because noone ever brought any. My first and last Motel6 experience. I will be telling all friends and family to never stay at a Motel6. I was deceived and lied to. I wish I would have been more observant when first getting there, however my kids excitement to go swimming definitely overshadowed my attention to detail a bit, that is until we got to the pool. My kids were even like this is it???? I had showed them the pictures from the website and even as children they were tilting their heads, like something ain't right. There were tweekers in the parking lot the whole time and the pool was definitely not what the picture shows. It's obvious this is a very ghetto establishment down to the employees themselves, especially the manager Amber. I cannot believe she is even in charge!! WARNING DO NOT...
Read moreI just wrapped up a 4 day stay at the Chandler Motel 6 and I have to say I was impressed! This is not your typical Phoenix area motel 6 that's filled with riff raff on the property, rude employees and questionable rooms. This place is spotless and the staff here is just incredible. Amber, the GM is very down to earth, respectful and treats people like they are part of a big family. I only stayed 4 nights, but I left feeling like I knew the staff for years. Her and the team were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. My only complaint....I accidentally left a $300 pair of boots in the hotel. I realized it 3 hours later and immediately drove back to the hotel to deal with Randy at the front desk. His response to the problem...."There isn't much I can do, I'll leave a note for the AM crew to follow up with someone on Monday (3 days away)". I asked if there was someone he could call BC someone clearly has them....His response "Well technically they would be trash because you left them behind". Dumbfounded that in his mind anything left behind from a guest is trash and the guest has no right to getting their property back. At this point I walked out because i was getting irritated by his total disregard for my situation. Thankfully the housekeeper Desiree saw me and came running out to let me know that she had them. Thank you again Desiree, those boots were only 2 days old! For the ones of you reading this that like the concept of Motel6 (no deposit, animal friendly ect) but have a hard time dealing with the nonsense that goes on at a lot of them....Give the Chandler location a shot and you'll see what I'm talking about. For the ones who are planning a trip to Phoenix and are looking for a reasonably priced, clean, quiet, friendly hotel.....I'd recommend checking out this location! Thanks again to Amber to her staff at Chandler Motel 6 for making our stay that much more enjoyable! Hopefully Randy buys into the wonderful culture you've created and starts helping guests, instead of taking the path of least resistance to problems or issues that may arise at the establishment . You guys were awesome and that one incident doesn't change my outlook one bit on our stay. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Read moreOne star is being generous! This place took the reservation for a 3 night stay; when an incoming flight was cancelled, a call was placed to let them know the customer (my 79 year old mother) would not be arriving on Thursday night, but still wanted the room for Friday and Saturday...she was told she had called too late to reverse the charges for Thursday night, ok that's fine, she was assured by "Mike" she still had the room for Fri and Sat., when Fri's flight was delayed, a call was placed to let them know she would be a late arrival but would definitely be there. The lady answering said, thank you I'll make a note. Well, upon trying to check-in, the lady at the desk said "sorry we're full, we gave your room to someone else". Because you were a no-show yesterday, and didn't arrive on time today (even though there was a note about the call right there on the reservation which she had in front of her!) we couldn't hold your reservation. Oh, but we charged you for it anyway. What's the point of a reservation if they don't HOLD the room? Apparently, just to take your money and not provide a service! When my mother said she told the woman, "but I talked to Mike" the woman replied with "we don't have a Mike working here"...well, Mike had answered the phone on 2 separate occassions when my mother had called, once to ask whether they had hair dryers, and the second when she wasn't arriving the first night. Whatever happened to the old "we'll leave the light on"?...apparently only so they can take your money, give away your room, and turn away a 79 year old woman. Worst customer...
