I would strongly suggest against coming here unless you speak Korean. My hair stylist didn’t speak a word of English and when I asked if someone could translate just in the beginning, he said ok and started cutting my hair. He asked for a picture, to which I showed him a short bob cut and he immediately shot it down and said I’d need to style it so no. I told him I’m open to it if he could show me how and I was ignored. In the end, I got the choppiest layers and I can honestly say I’ve never hated a haircut until that day. I tried to hide it by tying it up in a ponytail until I found the next salon and it just looked sad.
I even tried talking to the owner and going to their other salon for someone who spoke English but I went on the wrong day by mistake, I think it worked out really well in the end because I found another salon down the road who took me in right away, spoke English, loved the picture I showed him and cut it just like that. I have gotten countless compliments, it was actually cheaper AND look at that, no styling needed.
In response to the comment from the salon: It has been about a month or two, I went to the H Mart location and I was not introduced to the stylist and like I had mentioned, he did not speak any English at all so we did not communicate. I am not looking for a resolution or anything, I tried reaching out to the owner and it did not seem like she cared much, I have unfortunately given up on the place which is disappointing because I was very excited to find an Asian salon that does both hair and facials and was sure I’d be a long time client. I just wanted to share my...
Read moreMy cousin recently had a disastrous experience at Parkjun Salon, and she wants to share her story to prevent others from making the same mistake. Despite having high hopes based on the salon's social media presence, her appointment turned out to be a complete hair-raising nightmare.
Before her appointment, my cousin clearly communicated her desired hairstyle, a muted ash blonde with blended highlights, to the salon's Instagram account. However, the stylist completely disregarded her wishes and opted for a drastic bleach job from root to tip, leaving her with chunky, uneven highlights that were nothing like what she had envisioned.
To add insult to injury, the stylist claimed to have performed a root touch-up, but my cousin's roots were still clearly visible, looking as untouched as ever. The entire experience left her hair feeling damaged and lifeless.
What's worse, the highlights ended up being a brassy, orange color, a far cry from the muted ash blonde she had requested. Even under the salon's studio lighting, the true color was impossible to hide.
After the disastrous appointment, my cousin reached out to the salon to express her disappointment. Unfortunately, they ignored her for hours before finally offering to fix the mess. Given the significant damage they had already caused, my cousin decided it was too risky to return to the salon.
My cousin's experience is a stark reminder that even seemingly reputable salons can deliver subpar results. It's essential to do thorough research and read reviews before choosing a salon, and to be prepared to advocate for yourself if you're unhappy with...
Read moreI had Premium facial treatment done by Rena and digital perm done by Sean. I am 10/10 satisfied with the service and results that I got from both visits. All the hairdressers and esthetician used to work in Korea before they came to the states. I’ve been looking for a good facial place since my skin has been breaking out by the Arizona summer sun. The Sun in Arizona has damaged my skin horribly. There are at least 10 new sunspots pop out on my face ever since I moved to Arizona 2 years ago🤦♀️ The premium facial treatment is about 90 minutes long. it includes basic cleaning , deep pore cleaning , facial manual massage , high frequency treatment, moisturizing pack- aqua modeling , upper body massage.. etc . The esthetician applied at least 15 layers of different cream on my face lol anyways my face feels super clean , calm and smooth after the treatment. I highly recommend this service. Now let’s talk about my perm experience with Sean. Sean was trained in Korea and just recently moved to the states. I have permed my hair at least 5 times in my life and 3/5 were failure. I guess according to my previous hairdresser, I have natural curve at the root but the rest of my hair were very straight. And I also have really thin hair compared to other people. Everytime when I iron curl my hair, it gets flatten after 2 hours. And even that very most recent success perm I had in Asia, the curl only lasted 5 months. So now I am hoping this new perm I just got from Sean would last me longer. But as for now I am very happy with the natural C curl I got. Please refer...
