Cannon Green — Attraction in Charleston

Having our wedding at Cannon Green was the best decision ever!!! Immediately I began working with Anna over a year before our wedding date. She scheduled a phone conference to answer some questions then invited my fiancé and me to Cannon Green to get a tour of the venue and some more information. Cannon Green does so much for you! They provide the linens, tables, chairs, lighting, a dance floor, food, alcohol, wait staff, and I am sure I am forgetting other details. Working with Anna, she provided us a preferred vendor list and gave us a timeline of what to expect with the planning process. We could email Anna at any point throughout the process and know we would get a response within 24 hours!

About three months out we received an email from Anna about the food tasting. You are able to invite two other guests, no charge. When we arrived Anna was there to greet us with a glass of champagne. At the tasting we tried five hors d'oeuvres, two first courses, two second courses, three white wines and three red wines. Anna also discussed with us the layout of the reception and the day of schedule with different examples at hand if we needed it. It was so helpful, I was so happy with how organized and professional the tasting felt.

Anna made time to sit down with my photographer, day of and myself to finalize the schedule and make sure everyone was on the same page about a month out. During the reception I received many compliments about Cannon Green! From how awesome it was that there was an outside courtyard to the inside of the beautiful venue. That the food was delicious and the wait staff was very helpful. Anna even came to ask my fiancé and me if we needed anything and wished us a happy marriage.

Truly Cannon Green is extremely organized, which was so helpful and saved me time with planning and thinking. It felt as though I had a wedding planner, who helped me think out the details that I wanted. The food is AMAZING and everyone raved about how delicious everything was! The wait staff was quick to anyone’s needs and observant. Although the price seems high, there is so much included at such a high quality that one would spend contacting other vendors for the small details. Just as my photographer said, “I don’t know why anyone would choose anywhere else. It’s a beautiful venue and they take care of so much for you!” I cannot thank Cannon Green and Anna enough, everything...

We had the pleasure of working with Anna @ Cannon Green for our big day in Charleston! First & Foremost, I was a #COVIDBRIDE with our big day planned for April 2020…we had to postpone til October 2020. Fortunately they were able to accommodate and work with us on picking a new date!

Quick back story…before I got engaged, I found Cannon Green on the Knot/Wedding Wire. My husband and I wanted a “destination wedding” and Charleston felt like the perfect place for our friends and family to escape for a weekend, explore, and indulge in such a marvelous city. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous Cannon Green looked. Every single picture, review, etc. was GLOWING. I saved/tucked this away…and when it finally came to plan the big day, I thought “Maybe we can make this place work…it would be my DREAM.” Well lucky for us, we were able to move forward with CANNON GREEN! I was so confident in the venue, that we booked sight-unseen, since we were from out of town. I saw it 6 months later at our tasting, where we met & worked with Anna, and I KNEW we made the right choice.

I cannot thank Anna & the team enough for their flexibility, attention to detail, and dealing with a very stressed, sometimes sad & anxious bride, due to this years circumstances! Anna was always there to work me through details, different bumps in the road with lower guest count, and accommodating all our needs for the event. Our guests were blown away by the food and service, the fountains and palmetto trees, the dreamy courtyard. Anna can vouch, that when I arrived an hour before walking down the aisle, seeing the space with all our touches, florals, etc. I was brought to TEARS. It exceeded ALL expectations!!! My vision and bridal moment, that I had been looking forward to for so long, finally came to fruition and I couldn’t be happier....

The moment we toured Cannon Green we knew it would be perfect for our son’s rehearsal dinner. The history and character of the venue was the perfect back drop to an amazing evening. Working with Morgan was easy and refreshing, to be honest. She was always professional and made organizing an event as important as the rehearsal dinner run smoothly. She was detail oriented and followed through with everything that she said she would take care of. The night of our event went smoothly and was as special and perfect as I had hoped it to be. The staff that were present were professional as well as hospitable to all our guest. I would like to thank Tara for keeping the evening on schedule. It wouldn’t have been the perfect evening without her overseeing everything. I must mention the food. It was so Incredibly delicious. It made for topic of conversation throughout the whole weekend! The bride is from Kansas City and takes barbecue seriously. Her father stated the barbecue that was prepared was the best he had ever had! We had family from all over the country and it was so nice being able to share our Southern cuisine with them in such a special way.
