The customer service is very unreasonable and hypocritical. They aren’t responsible for the room not having what we paid for but we are responsible for damage we didn’t cause. Explanation below…
I waited to write this review to see if I would calm down about the situation but I never did. I’m not here to make all sorts of complaints about the room because overall the room was nice and the parking area was large for Charleston. The only issue we had with the room was when we arrived late Thursday night the air mattress provided by The Inns had a hole in it and two of the 6 adults staying in the house for the weekend had to sleep on the floor on a makeshift bed of blankets and pillows. Not a big deal, we understand that stuff like that happens and the next morning called and asked for another air mattress. Anyway my family and I stayed at the 154 Spring street B about a month ago for a wedding. After we left we were notified via email that the cleaning staff had “discovered” a broken glass table top in one of the bedrooms and our credit card had already been charged. The glass top that was broken was a rectangle piece of glass that had been placed on the nightstands in the room my in laws stayed in. It was not original to the nightstand but just sat on top and my in laws complained the first night that it slid around very easily. Because of this they didn’t put anything on it except jewelry. We informed them that nothing was broken when we left and could it be possible that it was accidentally broken by the cleaning staff. Their response was absolutely not, they say you broke it so you’re responsible. We asked since the original air mattress provided was insufficient and two adults didn’t get what they were promised could we get a discount on replacing the table top. Their response was it’s not our fault the air mattress had a hole in it, we didn’t know. Well we didnt break the table yet it’s our fault and responsibility to pay for it. So if anyone stays at the Inns I highly recommend taking pictures and videos with time stamps and a daily newspaper in all of the pictures. Because I promise you are responsible for ANY and ALL problems, whether it’s your...

Negatives: Curtains & shades in bedroom are so light that they let the morning light in which meant being woken up every morning by 6:30 am. Had to get towels to drape over the widows to try & block out light. No central air, only window unit in bedroom. Was uncomfortable hot even with the portable fan blowing on me. Part of the reason I couldn't sleep while there. The most uncomfortable pillow and bed. Did not get a good nights rest a single night. Tossed and turned the whole time. Very disappointing. Construction going on everyday which started at 7:30 in the morning. TV in bedroom didn't really work. It worked every once in awhile. Used Tide laundry detergent which I'm highly allergic to. Majority of hotels don't use Tide due to people being allergic. Wasn't planning on having to launder all the sheets and towels on vacation. Not fun. Vehicle was keyed while parked in the parking lot. The Inns is right on the verge of being in the "bad part of town". Did not feel safe walking by oneself.
Would not stay at again and would not recommend to anyone else to stay at. Interesting that their website won't let you submit reviews, they choose testimonials to put up which is what we went off of when booking. Big Mistake. Don't waste your money...
