As a full-time professional photographer in Charleston, I have the privilege of shooting in some amazing old historic locations! I recently had the honor of photographing the annual Lee & Associates "team photo" for their holiday card on the old historic steps at Cannon Park. The steps and columns are all that's left of the old Charleston Museum. Behind the steps and columns is a nice grassy park, that takes up the whole block. It's conveniently located near MUSC. And in the evenings you'll find lots of locals out walking and playing with their dogs here.

Park is in a high traffic residential area. The area is relatively small, compared to other parks. It is approximately 1 mile from MUSC hospital on BEE St.

A small beautifully shaded park located on the corner of Rutledge and Calhoun. The columns in the park are from the Old Charleston Museum that burned down.

Small local park. Dog-friendly. Handy if you’re in the area. There is a small playground tucked in the corner nearest Calhoun & Rutledge Ave. Lots of benches to sit on a hot afternoon. What appears to be the remains of a large building sits near Rutledge - it would be nice if there was a plaque to explain it, but it adds a bit of mystery. Edit to add: The columns are remnants of a building called Thomson Auditorium, which was briefly used as meeting hall, a hospital, then the Museum of Charleston for many years. It burned to the...

Hardest thing that I've ever completed. My 60-day stay truly challenged me to my core, really pushing me to fully commit to my sobriety for good and work towards making that lifestyle a reality. The dedicated staff were my biggest supporters, helping me build confidence in my abilities to stay drug-free. I'll forever be in debt to you all for showing me that I can overcome my drug addiction and lead the successful drug-free life I...
