The CofC is a beautiful area but not an actual college campus. There are buildings in the middle of a busy downtown area like puzzles pieces that are scattered. So college students are amongst the public interacting. There are tons of places to eat but most college students can't afford the luxury, but its nice to know just in case. The College is a bit pricey and things need to be updated in rooms and better cleaned for the amount of money students have to pay on little scholarship money. Read moreI was there for a dedication event and their alumni reunion. Picture perfect weather! Classy, historical school. Low country boil food was decent. Most alumni here up in Charleston, go to the College of Charleston, then spend the rest of their lives there. If you're one of many tourists in town, you might want to swing by and look at the school. The town has the flavor of New Orleans, except much cleaner! 😀. They are big into preservation. The campus has a friendly, historic, easily negtiable vibe. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the students are polite. Today we visited the battery as well as the Old Charleston Jail. We were unable to take the guided tour of the old jail, but hope to do so...
