I never leave reviews and even after a year of Craftwork having worked in our home, I still feel strongly enough to warn people about using them. We renovated our 100 year old home in 2023 and decided to use craftwork to paint the entire interior of our home. We had received several quotes, their's was very competitive if not low and everyone we spoke to there seemed nice and professional. They worked with us on our timeline as some things got delayed due to the renovation. Once they started, it was a nightmare. Our house needed a lot of work and they had specifically told us the order of which they would be doing the work and the steps they would follow. The steps they told us would be followed were not. For example - after all the prep that needed to happen, they said they would dust and wipe down the entire house before painting as a lot of dust had accumulated from wallpaper removal and repairs. This did not happen and paint was applied with dust on all trim and walls. It showed in the finished product - it looked absolutely terrible. We constantly were pointing out issues during the process and they agreed to address them but would never write anything down so many items were missed.
Additionally, we had put up new crown molding throughout our second floor and they agreed to caulk the molding before painting. The caulk they used was cheap and not the appropriate caulk and now a year later, there are significant cracks in the caulk and we are having to bring another painter in to fix.
Perhaps the worst/most costly thing they did was not take care of our hardwood floors. They applied tape to the floors, taping down their paper to help protect them at the beginning. The tape not only ripped off the finish on our floors but they were very sloppy during their work and had spilled paint on the protection paper and left it there to soak so we had moisture stains throughout the house. We had to redo all the floors in the house.
At the end of the project, I didn't even want them back in our home so I had a different painter do the touchups once we had finished our renovation.
And then we got a letter from the owner asking for a review on Google which I immediately thought "you do not...
Read moreCraftwork was great to work with. We closed on a relatively new house and wanted the entire interior painted since it was builder-grade flat paint that would easily show marks. We got quotes from a few others about 5 days before closing and wanted them to start right after since house would be empty. After initially putting in the quote request, I got a call from them and we went over the entire process for our project. They looked the house up through real estate photos and were able to give a quote for each room. Their overall quote came in below the others, and they were able to rearrange their schedule to start the day after we closed. The process for picking the areas to paint, and color/finish was easy. While most of the process was done through their online portal, I spoke and texted with them multiple times throughout the project - asking lots of questions. Their customer service was excellent.
The painters took their time with our house and the results showed. We had all the walls and trim done and for a 4k sq ft house took them about little over a week, which we were totally fine with. They kept us up to date on the project every day. We visited throughout and saw how good they were at keeping the floors, cabinets, and other items covered for paint splatter.
We had a final, in-person walkthrough scheduled, but we had something come up on our end, so we went around the house and took pictures of areas that needed touch ups. As expected with such a large project, there were a few areas that needed to be touched up, and they were most accommodating, sending someone out the next day to take care of all of the areas we pointed out.
We are very happy with our experience with craftwork and highly...
Read moreCraftwork Painting company last week (7/8-7/12/24) completed an exquisite transformation of my kitchen. The project entailed painting of all my kitchen cabinets, walls, doors and trim. From the beginning of this project, I worked with Dakota (office personnel), who guided me through all details of the experience (from estimate, ideas of where to start, and continuous communication including daily updates via text of the work's progress). After signing a contract with Dakota, I had a consultation with Mary Beth, the Color Expert, who assisted with color selections via phone consultation and email pictures for all the cabinets, walls, trim, and doors. She was amazing and great to work being an individual with no sense of color. On Monday, 7/8/24, Alex and Seleny showed up at the house to begin the whole project entailing prepping all kitchen surfaces, removing door and drawer fronts to send to the home store, and start of painting all the kitchen box cabinets. By Thursday, 7/11/24, Karen arrived to assist Seleny with the remaining of the project of painting of walls, trim, and doors. By Friday at 3:00 p.m. all doors and drawer fronts were attached, all new hardware installed, and all painting and clean up completed. My beautiful newly transformed kitchen was now ready!!!!!
This was my first experience with Craftwork Paining company, but I know it will not be my last. I unequivocally recommend this company to anyone needing a simple update to their kitchen space, or a project of any magnitude. Thank you especially to Dakota, Mary Beth, Alex, Seleny, and Karen for making me so happy with my "new...
