Uniquities — Local services in Charlotte

Before coming into Uniquities I always had a hard time finding clothes I actually liked in boutiques because I tend to get overwhelmed with the selection. I was approached by Stephanie, a salesperson, within two minutes of my time in the store. She immediately asked me what I was looking for and what she could do to help. I told her a broad idea of what I needed and she inquired more about my personal style. After our conversation she put together five or more outfits for me to try on based on what I said I liked as well as my body type! I ended up finding the perfect outfit that Stephanie picked out for me in under twenty minutes. This store is so unique because of the people that work there who are able to highlight their selection tailored to you. I have never in my life been able to acquire a stylish outfit with no stress finding it until I walked into Uniquities (all thanks to Stephanie). I recently moved back to Charlotte and was excited to shop at local small businesses close to my house. I bought a pair of work pants from Uniquities. When I tried them on at home I realized they appeared to be picking at certain parts of the pant. I went back to exchange them or to get a store credit (as I was aware they don’t do refunds) and was told the pants were final sale and that this was “just the look of linen.” When I bought them I was not told they were final sale and that was not indicated on my receipt or the tag. They refused to give me a credit or exchange but offered me a 15% off coupon for my next order, which I found interesting as it presumes that I will come back to shop with them. I should have read their reviews before placing an order with them. I ordered a white cropped blouse from them and when it arrived I emailed them to inform them that they sent me the wrong size. I received no response so I sent them a second email. Finally I got a "text" back asking me to ship it back and requesting me to pay for the return label. I was very firm that I would not pay for their shipping error. They agreed to a full refund. Now that they have the item back they are claiming they did send me the correct size. They are also accusing me of being a liar. Do you really want to deal with a company like this? I will now how to call my bank to dispute this transaction. Such a hassle!
