I am posting this review in hopes it will reach Dollar Tree Corporate Office AND the appropriate actions will be taken. I am also posting this review to make the general public aware of what is going on at a particular Dollar Tree store in Charlotte, NC. The complaint location is as follows: Dollar Tree Store - address: 13540 Hoover Creek Blvd #200 Charlotte NC 28273. This complaint is to expose and report the STORE manager, Meme (short African American female).
I am a customer who regularly shops at this Dollar Tree location in Charlotte, NC. The store manager, Meme, is ALWAYS rude and unprofessional to her employees AND customers. I have personally witnessed Meme inappropriately speaking to her employees and “talking down” to them as if they are children. If an employee makes a small mistake, then Meme will begin yelling at that employee IN FRONT OF EVERYONE!! She will call them stupid and ignorant and THREATEN to fire them for a simple mistake or occurrence.
In addition, Meme NEVER greets customers who enter this store. She does the complete opposite and IGNORES her customers who come to shop. She is ALSO very rude with her customers and does NOT want to engage in any communication with them. I have witnessed Meme arguing with customers on two separate occasions. I have also witnessed her ignoring customers who have a question, as if she did not hear them! Please keep in mind she is the store manager conducting this behavior!! Meme will go outside and sit on the bench IN FRONT of the store to smoke cigarettes AND marijuana WHILE ON THE CLOCK. In addition, I have passed her on several occasions where she CLEARLY SMELLS of marijuana!!! Remember that SHE is the STORE manager!!!
As a regular customer who shops at this location, I have to say enough is enough!! These employees do NOT need to be treated this way and this is highly inappropriate and unacceptable behavior ESPECIALLY for a leader and THE store manager.
Shame on you Meme for your inappropriate, unprofessional, and rude actions and behavior!! Dollar Tree Corporate needs to address this immediately!!!
There is no telling what else she is doing BEHIND THE SCENES.
Sincerely, a customer who is going public and speaking up for those employees who are too afraid of her AND of losing their jobs and the customers she has...
Read moreI just left this store. I haven't been into this location in at least 6 months which was right around the time they first opened. At that time they had a lady that was greeting people and was real nice & it was pleasant if nothing else. I couldn't find common stuff that I find at most all Dollar Tree Stores that they always carry in their inventory. I meant to write myself a note not to go back to that location. Unfortunately I forgot & went in today once again They had plenty of staff and lots of boxes and frustrated employees. I couldn't get to anything, much less find anything. I always go into a Dollar tree for the same items. Usually Cards, and tape ocassionally some cleaning supplies, sponges, etc. Today I couldn't find the basics. I got in line and the clerk I am assuming she was the manager was super self important and she will be a problem eventually, watch and see. I bought $40 worth of cleaning supplies. I put something down and she snaps " Mam" give me the item you decided not to buy. I gave it to her she shoves it in a box. She was trying to be an Ass on purpose. I suppose it's because I'm white. It was blatantly Clear. She was mean as a snake. I never said a word to her or made eye contact, I was cordial. She never said, "Thank you for your business, said Zero to me, she had so much Vitriol inside her. I work hard too, I can't imagine talking to a customer like that or just not acknowledging the customer. The other customers that were black were given a Thank you. I think this store is going to cut their nose off to spite their face. Companies that allow this sort of hatred and attitude eventually fail. I'm almost 64 years old and I've seen it happen time and time again all of my life. You can't maintain a...
Read moreManagement at this location would benefit from immediate customer service training. Upon entering the store, it was clear that most shelves were nearly empty, making it difficult to find products. The staff were either at the register or in the office, with little engagement on the floor. My main concern arose when I attempted to purchase a 3-pack of air fresheners. Pricing was inconsistent, with some marked at $3, others at $5, and certain rows without any pricing at all. Based on my experience in other locations, where these items are priced at $1.25, I brought this discrepancy to the cashier’s attention. The evening manager was called, and unfortunately, her attitude was dismissive and condescending. She did not listen to the issue and demonstrated a lack of regard for customer concerns.
I am in town for business for just a few days, and it’s important to note that you never know if you’re interacting with someone in a corporate role. Customer satisfaction should be a priority in any retail environment, as it directly impacts business success. I hope management receives the necessary training to improve their customer service skills and ensure a better experience for...
