Please do not book a birthday party at this place if you actually want to have one. Thank you for allowing a disabled girl on her birthday sit outside in the rain not to mention the other disable kids and 15 adults until 1 o’clock when it should have started at 11:45am. Refused to allow people to stand in the building until they could work through their mistake and called security on people who booked and paid to use your place. Poor service and oh you can use it all day…. no that doesn’t make anything better after how you treated everyone. Also your employe talking about they should be charged extra and cancel their party anyways manager said he will be disciplined which I highly doubt after that experience disgusting how your place is ran.
I’m going to edit this post in disbelief you’re gonna say we had misinformation! Your facility collected money and sent a confirmation email…. Your manager is negligent and did not put it on the schedule did not have life guards scheduled and made disable CHILDREN stand outside in the rain with an officer because your staff wouldn’t even let them in and it was paid for! This was your facilities mistake and did not a single thing to rectify it and still going to act like we had something wrong! you had something wrong with how you train your staff to treat people and engage with customers. Especially the young man who wanted to cancel the child’s party and charge extra your manager is no manager and I’m sure as a owner youll handle this like they did the young man who said that infront of people who are waiting for your staff to fix what they messed up and it wasn’t fixed waited over a hour in the rain for a PRE SCHEDULED PARTY CONFORMATION SENT BY YOUR FACILITY!!

Also have your manager reach out… I doubt it especially if it’s the same one who couldn’t handle the situation in real time maybe think about handling this yourself to improve the experience people get from your place I will continue to share this experience all over since you as owner want to comment on us having misinformation maybe you should think your staff isn’t honest to you and are giving your place a bad name on how you treat the disabled and children. Read moreBeautiful facility and I love the view of the pools from the second level. I had a difficult experience last Wednesday. I asked Sean Corbus to change the channel on the TV that was in front of the treadmill I was using. He said he couldn't because if he changed it for me then he would have to spend his time changing it for others. There were 7 members in the fitness area. Two women were walking on the track and another woman was using the elliptical facing the windows. There were three people lifting weights on the first level. He told me that was the rules. He couldn't change the channels. Said never heard that before. I then walked around the track twice. I noticed a female security guard that seemed to follow me from the second level to the first. After setting up equipment to use on first level I looked at her and she said, OHHHHHHHHHHHH and increased her walking speed away from the area. I noticed Sean Corbus(Ken) talking to Arleen Watts. Before leaving the center, I spoke to Arleen Watts, concerning the TV rules. She told me the same thing that ken said, adding that Spectrum had set up the system and they were told not to change channels. She also added that I could use my phone to connect to TV which I had previously been told I couldn't. I was given Tari Cottman, Facility Manager II card . I did call leaving a message but haven't received a call back. I attend recreational centers to do away with DISTRESS, NOT TO BE STRESSED. Beautiful Facility. Good Luck....
Read moreI like going here. You never really see the east side of Charlotte shown love. The facility is amazing. It's definitely a good place for my fitness and weight loss journey. I'm going to continue to go. However, today I was approached my a worker about needing a mask on. I have no issues with wearing a mask, heck half of my job is to tell people to keep their mask on. However, there was a couple that were not wearing a mask and nothing was said to them. This couple has never worn masks. In fact, nothing was said to anyone else. But I was targeted. This employee went out their way and walked all the way over to me when I wasn't even near people. If one person has to wear a mask, everyone else should have to as well. Do not just target one person. I did not see this employee go after anyone else. Walk around and go after everyone else not wearing a mask. I'm going to continue to go here because of reasons stated above and live close enough but I just couldn't get over what happened today.
*Updated review and stars 3/1/23 Things have been much better. I went today and a much better experience. There should be a light at the exit. People drive by so fast, and taking a left out especially when there's so much traffic is difficult. I usually have to take a right out and then U-Turn...
