Not a bad, but not a fun in-person shopping experience. I don’t own a Labubu & do not know if I will or care to, but I do enjoy the blind box experience & wanted to try a different store than Miniso. The customers were respectful while we all waited in line for opening, & the employees were friendly, too. 4-5 stars on that, but I should note the woman behind the counter seemed very tense & unfriendly, she also seemed to be watching for people stealing, which is understandable but there was no communication of “Hey, this is what we have! Welcome in, please do xyz.” But after following on weeks on TikTok, I decided to go in-person to the store, which looks nothing like it did on TikTok: there were only 8 blind boxes (1 kind) at the register & then a significant amount of the Sonny Angel babies to choose from. The blind boxes were Pop Mart official & cost $39.99 after tax. They are the “Forest Party” plush pendants that retail for $23.03 on the Pop Mart website. Their faces aren’t as high quality as others on the market & doesn’t feel like it should be twice the price. Overall, I just was surprised that the store is not aesthetic or mostly blind boxes, it is mainly music merch, books or paper products, & random plushies. Even less than 24 hours ago the business posted on TikTok that it was increasing its blind boxes & not slowing down! Meanwhile the entire stock was 8 of 1 kind & Sonny Angels that have been available for years. The business seems to prioritize its TikTok presence, which is understandable for them but frustrating for locals. I would recommend trying somewhere like Miniso or just staying at home &...
Read moreThe guy from today was extremely nice but the lady behind the counter allways seems like annoyed the customer service for her is just not there have seen this more than twice going in there but overall cute store love the blind boxes
Edit: Thank you so much for responding— really appreciate it! I've been in her shoes before, having worked my way from cashier to managing multiple stores across NC, so l understand how tough it can be.
I shared my review based on my experience. I came in with a smile, said good afternoon, paid, and was excited the store had restocked —I had driven about an hour just to make it in time for the blind box I was hoping for.
Unfortunately, I still felt dismissed, even though I hadn't done anything wrong. I'm not trying to call anyone out harshly—| just hope this feedback helps start a conversation with the young lady involved, maybe as a gentle reminder about the impact our attitudes can have on others. I really want to see this store go far since there are not many stores like...
Read moreThe owner (I think?) was SO helpful! I'm in Charlotte on business and decided to check out this store because the website said they had the Singles magazine Ateez edition in stock. I live in Dallas where everything is in low stock and sells out super fast so I was excited. When I arrived the owner was outside hanging signs and chatted with me for a moment before I walked in. Already off to a good start (being alone from out of town is tough). When I went inside I was amazed at the selection! There were so many albums I've never been able to find in Dallas! I was told the magazine was out of stock but the owner went to the back and found one for me, knowing that I came specifically for that. The whole experience here made my day and made me a happy customer. I left with 4 albums, a vinyl and two magazines. If I'm ever back in Charlotte I will definitely come back to this place! (And maybe even...
