Uneducated and lack of training.
I went in to return equipment and spoke to a woman. I told her I recently moved and I wanted to turn in my equipment before my bill was due so I wouldn’t have to pay for another month if I wasn’t going to be there. She said she understand and I WOULD NOT have to pay anything further. (I even went as far as asking about my app, if the balance would reflect 0 dollars after I turned in my equipment. She said YES) We finished the transaction and I left. Here we are 3 weeks later I’m getting a call from spectrum saying I have an overdue bill that’s two times the amount it usually is!!! They never actually disconnected my account NOR did she tell me that since the bill was already posted for January, I would still have to pay!! These people need more training. Luckily customer support helped me and was able to take off all late fees and extra charges. They said they would contact the store but I’m not sure if they always do that. Read moreOne person behind counter TRAINING another person Trainee told to check in but made no effort to designate where the check in kiosk was located. Customer with phone connection issue _ not addressed quickly _ request for new Spectrum phone _ no appreciation wrt customers waiting. Waited as 3 more customers arrived. Lady comes out from back to check inventory but shows no interest in addressing customer wait. Then we have another spectrum employee - corporate person - emerging to engage in discussion at table. NO APPRECIATION of situation _ customers waiting and insufficient staffing. I asked corporate person if he could address the issues. Corporate person showed no interest in addressing situation. Then we have a new arrival who knew where to check in _ proceeded to check in AHEAD of three people who had been waiting. LEFT and went to another store where my transaction was seamless!! I will NEVER come back to this...
Read moreVery polite staff BUT BEWARE my 4 tuner DVR Cable box went bad and had to exchange it for a new one. Looked the same and worked fine except the sound level didn't work. Took it back and they gave me a different model. Asked if it had the same features and was told yes. Once hooked up started to see captions asking if I wanted to stop watching the new show I selected or delete one of 2 shows being recorded. Never had this problem before. Now I find out the DVR had several series of shows scheduled to be recorded still on the hard drive from a past owner. Spectrum can't delete from remote and you can only delete one at a time. NOT GOOD. BUT the biggest problem is Spectrum doesn't offer the 4 tuner DVR box any more. So you are limited to recording at a max 2 shows at a time. And if recording 2 shows you cannot watch a third show. I have spent hours on line, phone and in the store. Looking for a solution - Maybe looking other...
