EDIT: at the end of 2023 management was replaced, and I must admit that the new manager is much better than the previous one. Jacob Bennett listened to us and addressed them. Under his leadership most of the issues listed were addressed and fixed immediately. I cannot speak of all the issues since we moved out. But I am sure he addressed those as well. I am updating the rating. It’s still not 5 stars because of some other things observed that are out of manager’s power to address. I am confident that under his leadership, Towerview is much better place to stay at.
Horrible, rent at your own risk! Besides other issues already listed, the worst is the MOLD. The mold started showing up around August 2023. Around the same time I started to develop a dry never going away cough that did not allow me to sleep during the night. I tried all possible medicines because I thought it's just cold. Steroids and antibiotics didn't help either. The maintenance brought in their expert who said that basically we are at fault for leaving wet clothes in the closet (never happened) and not running AC/heating enough. At the same time I noticed that the maintenance changed air filter dated 09.2022 (this happened in 11.2023) - probably old filter. Then they brought in some air drying equipment and said that it will fix the issue. We hired a 3rd party mold testing company, and that's what the expert said: your humidity levels are around 80%, normal levels are below 50%, around 40% (I don't remember exact numbers). We have all the test results. In theory running AC or heater does decrease the humidity level; we did a test: let's run the AC until level drops to 50% Guess what? we would freeze to death sooner than reach 50%. It dropped only to 70%, but we were already freezing from the AC. Running the heat would lead to the same: burning up at still 70% humidity. The mold expert we hired also told us that the whole apartment needs to be ''bombed'' to clean it out which clearly wasn't done by the Bozzuto team. Keep in mind, the mold testing company DOES NOT PROVIDE these mold cleaning services; therefore, he had no reason to exaggerate the issue. Nothing was addressed in a timely manner. We also asked to notify us in advance if they plan any repairs. But, NO. Someone was banging on the door for minutes one day while I was in a meeting with my executive management at work. We moved out with a short notice, and they tried to force us to sign a paper stating that WE WILL NEVER LEAVE ANY BAD REVIEWS TRUE OR FALSE. Lol, about the pool that was shut down because the inspection wasn't passed, but children kept swimming there? Broken doors for months? Mold issues? Corners cut during repairs and initial construction? Surveillance system that is not working and no one has access to? Repeated break ins in the vehicles? Missing/broken equipment at the gym? Sauna/steam room that did not pass the inspection either (that's a rumor I heard)? Etc. We did not sign anything. When we asked whether we will be reimbursed for damaged items and unexpected health costs, and mold test, the answer was: it was not approved, but you need to pay the remaining rent due for the last month. Once we moved out, the cough started to gradually disappear. Now I am writing this review about 2 months later finally able to sleep at night and able to breathe during the day without irritating cough. I am still going through different health tests to ensure that my health has not been affected permanently due to the exposure to mold. We are consulting with our lawyers whether to bring the management company...

I've been a resident at TowerView Ballantyne for 14 months now, and I believe potential residents deserve to know both the positives and negatives based on my personal experience.
Pros: Great Location: The property is situated in a fantastic location. Nice Facilities: The facilities here are very nice and contribute to a comfortable living environment. Exceptional Staff: I must highlight Joni Webster, Kelly Gonzalez, and Jacob Bennet. They go above and beyond to make residents feel at home and are a true asset to the community.
Cons: Persistent Cigarette Smoke Issues: Since the day I moved in, I've been dealing with cigarette smoke infiltrating my bedroom, closets, and bathrooms. This unpleasant situation persisted for a staggering six months, despite the property being promoted and contractually designated as non-smoking. I frequently raised this issue with the front desk team, who made efforts to address it. However, it took six months to identify the smoker responsible, who was eventually given notice to vacate. Throughout this ordeal, I incurred significant expenses on dry cleaning and air purification systems, totaling thousands of dollars.
Management Response: When I escalated my concerns to the regional manager and subsequently to the legal department, I was met with disappointing responses. The regional manager referred me to their legal counsel, James Bragdon, who maintained that the property management isn't liable for smoke entering my unit, despite clear lease terms forbidding smoking. James Bragdon's repeated emails emphasized the lack of legal liability on their part, which was disheartening given the substantial impact on my quality of life.
Resolution Attempts: In an effort to resolve the issue amicably, I proposed a reasonable solution to James Bragdon—reserved parking spaces for my vehicles as compensation for enduring six months of smoke infiltration. This proposal was made with consideration for the ongoing security issues in the parking area, such as frequent vehicle break-ins. However, the response from the legal department was to offer only one month of free parking followed by an additional charge of $250 per month for the parking spots, which I found unreasonable and inadequate given the circumstances. He also doubled down on the statement that there is no liability for having smoke enter the property.
Conclusion: While TowerView Ballantyne has its merits in terms of location, amenities, and some outstanding staff members, my experience with unresolved smoking issues and unsatisfactory responses from management leaves much to be desired. Prospective residents should consider these factors carefully when making...
Read moreI start by saying that this place only has 4.5 stars because they bribe us with "this or that" if we give a high rating. I will not LIE and play a part in this fraud. This place is SO MOLDY, I am not exaggerating! I started off by doing a DIY mold test from Home Depot, which came back present. Towerview sent in a "company" (I couldn't find this company anywhere on the internet.) and this 'company' said everything was fine. This mold has been affecting my health so I decided to call in a reputable reliable company(MIT Mold), this company told me that the humidity levels in my apartment were extremely high. They found mold developing by my windows, 2 of my closets, my pantry, bathroom, and Laundry room! Another issue with Towerview is the pool, on the website it's big and beautiful. The pool has been shut down for many months due to it not being able to pass inspection. The website also advertises how 'secure' this place is... whenever someone's car gets broken into (which is quite often) video surveillance is always 'down'. I'd rather live in a college dorm again than live here again! Other issues occur, such as the elevator breaking, front door breaking, car break-ins... and for the icing on the cake!!! THEY WANTED US TO SIGN A DOCUMENT SAYING WE WOULDN'T LEAVE A BAD REVIEW OR THEY WOULD TAKE US TO COURT!... I was literally sick for MONTHS while living here due to the mold infestation and you want me to leave a good review? Are you kidding me? Absolutely not! No matter how desperate you may be to find a home, it is NOT worth living here. Please your money and your health and live somewhere else,...
