WORST EMPLOYEES I'VE EVER COME ACROSS AT THE FRONT DESK!!!! And we couldn't even do anything except the putt putt golf and go karts!! We couldn't get help for anything else that may have been open and the others weren't open at all!! I'd give a 0 star review if I could!!!
They even FORGOT it was a Monday and had a special and wouldn't apply my go kart purchase to the combo special with the putt putt!!! Honestly, how do you forget what day it is and about your specials?!!! And to not let me have that combo special?! Ridiculous!!
My husband and I took our 16 year old niece and 4 year old nephew on Labor Day. My husband and I hadn't been in over 10 years and we were so excited to take the kids. They didn't have the water attractions open like it said on their website and I checked before we even left to go. I knew my 4 year old nephew wouldn't be able to get on some of the others because he's too small, but he definitely could have got on the water attractions. The website didn't say anything about certain ones being closed at all. It gave me an option to buy tickets for all of the attractions ahead of time. I'm really glad I didn't!!!
Also, the girls at the front desk were NO HELP WHATSOEVER!!! They acted like they didn't even want to be there and everytime I asked a question, they seemed like I was just a nuisance to them. Because of how long it had been since we had been there, we didn't know you had to pay and be given a reloadable card to use for everything. Including getting our golf balls. Again, I was a nuisance to the girls at the counter for asking how to get our golf balls. Same size golf balls, just different colors and you had to apparently select if you wanted child or adult. If you didn't select correctly, you didn't get a golf ball until you did!! What?! Crazy, right? But true.
The ONLY employee that was extremely nice to us was the guy at the go karts!! He was great to us!!
Our nephew kept wanting to play on the water attractions that weren't even open. I couldn't explain to him why they were closed because I didn't know and the employees inside were no help!!
My husband and I have always loved Sir Gooney's and were so excited to take our niece and nephew, but it was a really HUGE LETDOWN!!!
I don't recommend going to Sir Gooney's. If you're going to spend a lot of money, just go to Lake Winnie. At least you know all the rides/attractions will be open and everyone is really...
Read moreThis was a really cool place to go with a group of people who have lived here their whole life. I feel like a lot of what is offered here is brimming with nostalgia for those who have been visiting for a long time.
This was my first time there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, but walking around you can definitely tell that there used to be many more attractions than there are now and that some of the attractions have fallen into disrepair. For example, there was once bumper boats(now an eerie, closed down, and half drained pool of water) and a drift track for the go karts, but those attractions have since been shut down without being replaced. You can go look at the old areas where these attractions once were and get that spooky feeling of standing where something once was but is no longer.
Now for me, I love going and seeing run down versions of places that once had a former glory to the residents of the town they were erected in, but I can see this place being a bit of a let down for anyone who does not appreciate that particular allure.
Pro tip: the go karts are electric and there is a game that is meant to be played while driving that is very frustrating. You can opt out of this and use the karts with five boosts, much like their rally races used to be. Ask the operator for more info to avoid paying a large amount to be disappointed!!
Overall, I would recommend this place as a fun way to spend time with your friends and family! Mini golf is pretty much always fun, and the few holes that are experiencing technical difficulties do to disrepair only add a challenge and bring more laughter and fun...
Read moreThis fun entertainment center has been around for years. It's shows it's age in some areas smile 😄. Keep in mind age is just a number. They still know how to party, and have a Good time ! If you are ready, they gotcha covered. The staff are all cool 😎, and the Customer Service is Excellent. The tickets are reasonable. The fun outweighs the funds 💰 . They continue to provide fun for ball 🏀 🏈 teams, birthday 🎉 🎂 celebrations, reunions, and families. My family relocated here years ago, and discovered Sir Goony's. We use it when friends come to town. It's not suppose to be Six Flags, or Lake Winney ! Got it ? You have to drive a little distance to get to those places. They are conviently located in our Scenic City 🏙️. This is just a smaller version of a fun center. There are plenty of nice restaurants, Sports Bars , Hooters is next door, and Hotels in the surrounding area. They offer Go Carts a popular favorite. Bumper boats, 🏎️, batting cages, gooney golf ⛳, and plenty of video games. It's a clean, and safe area. They serve up some delicious 😋 food. It's not an overwhelmingly crowded amusement park 🎢. It's small enough to enjoy, large enough to serve you guys. If you are looking for some local fun they gotcha covered. You guys are only about 6 miles from the 💜 of tourism. This of course is the TN. Aquarium. This is as close as you will get to this kind of recreational activity. I highly recommend you go check ✅ them out for yourself 😜. You will enjoy this Family Fun Center. I Love 💞...
