On 11/28/2023 at approximately 7:30pm I visited Wegmans located in Cherryhill, NJ. I went shopping after work for my father whoâs a disabled retired veteran, and my stepmother who has arthritis and canât stand for long periods of time so my sister and I often do their shopping for them. Needless to say I filled one large cart to capacity and asked Damien (front end manager) if it was âokay for me to leave my bagsâ (which were under the cart along with my) shopping cartâ up front while I retrieved another cart? Damien replied âsure just put it up here by customer service.â I asked Damien âwill my bags be safe no one would take them would they because I have a lot more stuff to purchase?â Damien stated âno itâll be fine.â I spotted an abandoned cart by the freezer isle and retrieved it and proceeded to shop. I found most items and asked for assistance for others from various associates. Around 8:35pm I proceeded to the register and noticed 4-5 associates standing around my cart looking while three (which included Damien)were digging through it and a police officer stood by. I asked âwhatâs going on why are yâall going through my things?â They all looked up puzzled then one associate said âoh you I remember youâ (she was one I asked for assistance while shopping) this associate proceeded to tell me they were checking through my things for cold items because the cart was there for 45 minutes and I hadnât returned. I looked and Damien and said âI asked you was it okay, and you stated yes.â Damien said âwe thought you had left the storeâ I said you guys have cameras and several of these associates (standing around) helped me. I got in the first line in front of customer service with cashier Mariah who mad a funny look to the cashier next to her when I was asking questions pertaining to my cart. Mariah rang my items in the cart I was currently pushing then asked me if I âstill wanted the items in the cart over there (pertaining to the items in my cart by customer serviceâ I stated âyes, but please wait until I finish bagging these items first.âI then asked Mariah if sheâd âlike me to pay for these items nowâ (which were a little over four hundred dollars) and she stated âno itâs fine.â Once Mariah pushed over the second card and completed ringing all my items she asked if I had I bonus card which I entered and then I proceeded to swipe my fathers payment method. A yellow message came up and Mariah stood to the side and I asked âwhat happened?â She stated she âneeded a balanceâ I asked âa balance of whatâ Mariah stated âIâm not sure Iâm waiting for a supervisor.â Cheryl another manager was standing at a little window talking to someone, Mariah got her attention she then walks over and asked Mariah whatâs wrong Mariah stated â I donât know it said something about a balance.â My coworker whoâs still on the telephone during this whole encounter said âa balance?â I stated âI donât know I saw nothing about a balance?â Cheryl said âswipe ya card againâ I swiped the card a message came on the automated payment machine asking if Iâd like a balance I went to click no and Cheryl says âhit yesâ I said I donât need a balance she hit the yes button and said âweâll I doâ I asked âfor whatâ she says âbecause I doâ with the nastiest attitude to mankind she was extremely rude. After seeing there was ample funds on the card Cheryl looks at me and says âbecause your total is over 800 and I have to override it thatâs whyâ (which was a blatant lie). No one in the store need to know my balance I order to override the total when it never stated insufficient funds/decline. I stood there bagging my groceries and stated to the cashier (Mariah) I may need to purchase a few more bags at which time âCherylâ states âtheyâre 99 cents a pieceâ (in a condescending tone) I informed Cheryl â I know the price.â Mariah then asked âwould you like me to ring you up for some how many?â I looked on the floor realizing I had another huge bag so I replied to Mariah âgive me a minute once I use this bag Iâll let you know if I need more.â...
   Read moreIn June, 2018: The soda pop ice machine was broken downstairs & upstairs. Also no diet pop in the machine downstairs. The soda pop in the upstairs machine was warm. The worker fixing it was not nice at all, & only 1 machine was being fixed. The cashier was wonderful. Let me exchange my cup for a bottle of pop. The bakery had no coconut donuts. The store had no sponge candy. This store does not make or sell sponge candy nor does it make coconut donuts. I was not impressed at all. It was also dark. Thumbs down. The corporate office in Rochester needs to send someone down to this store to improve the quality asap... I can't wait to get back to Webster, n.y. to go to my 2 wegmans that sell sponge candy & coconut donuts. We just went back on the way back to Philadelphia from Atlantic City. Again, both soda pop machines in the market cafe had. No ice!!! The cashier did not apologize for my being inconvenienced. She barely even looked at me. Thank goodness the same cashier from the other day walked up & let me get 2 bottles of pop instead of the cups. But the 1st cashier gave very poor customer service to me, & no ice in the 2 drink machines again was poor form. Corporate needs to get down here & raise the quality of this place. The only saving grace was the 2nd cashier from the other day coming to the rescue (otherwise I was in for a long wait for a manager) & the very low food prices (compared with San Francisco, where I live) & high quality of the food here. You cannot beat a wegmans sub! That was what i specifically came here for today. I got the combo, which is a bargain. Wegmans should realize people go out of their way to shop there. I came from California via Philadelphia & then Atlantic City, on my vacation twice within 1 week. It's a huge disappointment when customer service falls flat & when machines do not function. You must do better Wegmans. On the way out i saw the manager & told her of my 2 visits' ordeals. She apologized & so did the man that she was standing with. They said they'd address the problems & acknowledged that wegmans reputation rests in a large part with its customer service, along with the quality of their products, including having their machines in working order. I brought 2 donuts home to San Francisco & just ate them. I'm back on June 27th, 2019. They made me a stellar sub. Sandwich at 7;30 am! Nice staff. On 6/27/19: Gwen, in the bakery, was wonderful! WONDERFUL! She was going to make me a coconut donut fry cake, but the timing did not work out. I bought Archway brand molasses cookies! You cannot buy that brand in sf, ca. If you shop there, try Gwen's coconut donuts! A Wegmans standard but brought to you (made by) your lovely Wegmans Baker, Gwen. Make sure you thank her for bringing you that variety of donut, which you did NOT have in your store before Gwen decided to add that to the donut offerings...

I shop at Wegmans all the time and have never have had a bad expierence , until today with a cashier as per receipt operator423675, and I think her name was Eileen, as Im putting my items on the counter I say Good Morning , no responed , no worries I contuine to place items on counter , I say can i ask a question ? Although I m aware of the purchase and asked the ? she states you have to ask the manager I said ok manager comes very nice , and she Boldly says to her part of my ? the other part , I never said. i intervene and say that is nt what i wanted to ask,? Then she got really annoyed , My conversation contuined with Manager, items got ring up total seen , i wanted to enter my card number she said you people don t have to ? You People ??? I said to her did you just say You People ?? Meaning?? And there was someone behind me, and I said Your not a very nice person, Iâm not one to cause a scene , or be ignorant to others ignorance , and the fact that this was a much older person whom can be my grand mother , I was taught Respect your elders. As I was walking away she mumble something else, I asked her is there something that I should hear that your saying ? Then she replies oh I was just saying Good Morning , as I stated as Iâm walking away ???Really ?? As this point I asked to see the Manager Again, and reported her, The Manager says to me , she ââs not Normally Like that? I said maybe not to anybody else , she may have never said to anyone the comment of You People , or if she did no one had address it . I was very much offended and insulted by her comment, as I said I shop as Wegmans all the time for years and have Ever, Ever, Ever had a expierence ever at Wegmans or any where like this. The Fact that her comment was âYou Peopleâ was very insulting, and offensive . Iâm a paying customer ( cash) with my hard earned money . I worked with the same company for 34 years, customer service and never have expierenced this type of behavior , and to be treated in this manner especially by a elder that knows better is beyond me , and Unexceptable in all areas , especially in these times .
