Harvest Hall at Alstede Farms — Attraction in Chester Township

We had my son’s first birthday party there yesterday. The hall is gorgeous and I love the tent on the side because it allowed us to set up a play area for the kids. Everyone had a great time and loved the venue. Giving three stars however, because we felt like Patti (the event manager) was a bit rude the day of. The vendors felt the same way. I believe it is her daughter (not sure) who was constantly watching the vendors set up and moving their things because it was blocking a utility closet but she was very rude about it instead of asking politely. We also asked her for extra chairs because we originally requested 80 but only 73 were there and she had an attitude about that too. It felt like we were constantly being surveillanced or doing something wrong by just setting up. I haven’t seen that type of behavior even in big scale wedding venues.They did not give off a welcoming presence especially to someone who has paid a ton of money for just a few hours of event time. One of the vendors also told us that they asked for them to be cleaned up by 6pm, even though we had the hall until 6pm (3-6pm). We did end up wrapping our event early but technically we do have until 6:30 (30 mins post even time) to be completely out.

I hosted my fiancé and I’s engagement party here and it was absolutely perfect. It’s a huge space that can easily fit 70-100 people, I didn’t realize the rent was set up but it was the perfect space for our guests to hang out and mingle. The staff were super helpful and responsive, and we used ‘served with a twist’ for our amazing bartender, recommended by the venue. Great spot for a fun casual engagement party. Great a la carte menu for catering as well and it keeps the cost a little lower than a sit down dinner. Highly recommend...
