BEWARE! I purchased a 90 min massage for a deal they had for $130 on December 13th. I was willing to drive 50 mins because I've always had great experiences at other Elements Massage locations. After I made the purchase online I called to try and schedule an appointment for the next day. They were closed so I left a voicemail stating what I was looking for. I specifically said in my VM "even if you guys have no openings for tomorrow (Saturday) please call me back so I can schedule an appointment in the near future." The next day comes and goes, no returned phone call, then Sunday, and Monday, etc. So I tried calling later in the week from my other cell and no answer. I ended up going elsewhere to get a massage for half the price and it was AMAZING and no hassle to get scheduled for one.
Fast forward, I decided that if I can't be given the courtesy of a returned phone call in over a week, then I want my money back to spend where my time is valued and appreciated. I didn't think I would have any issue with requesting a refund and boy was I wrong! I spoke with Crystal on Dec 24th and she was the first to feed me the BS about not being able to get a refund of MY MONEY for services that have not been provided to me!
Let's be clear, if the fine print stated that no refunds would be given, then I wouldn't be able to dispute that. In this case, I didn't see this info on my receipt nor on the website (I did my research) and all they, Crystal and Samantha could say was "we just don't issue refunds." After speaking with Crystal about the issue, she informed me that Samantha, the manager, also the owner, would have to give me a call. Cool, no problem.
Samantha, Samantha, Samantha, man you're a terrible manager and owner when it comes to resolving conflict. Can y'all believe that the OWNER of the establishment had the audacity to not only feed me the same BS but she proceeds to give me a weak excuse as to why I didn't get a phone call back (blamed it on her new employees who are still learning). She talked over me, continued to tell me I wasn't going to get my money back. And then, the BANGER, she hung up in my face. She exemplified everything that you're not supposed to as an owner and manager. Poor communication, excuses and she never attempted to resolve anything! Never tried to offer a solution to gain a new loyal customer. Just a weak apology and a "I don't care attitude".
The point of all of this is to let you'll know that Samantha doesn't know how to provide excellent customer service when conflict arises. She plays the victim and is definitely power tripping.
Oh, and of course I got my money back. Called my bank and got the refund immediately. You won't get $130 out of me, Samantha. My advice to...
Read moreThis was my first and probably last time trying Elements. The inside is nice, the front office staff is lovely, but my massage unfortunately wasn’t. When I was called in I wound up waiting on the table for, it had to have been 5 minutes at least, before the massage therapist came back in, the longest, by far that I’ve ever waited. I don’t say this to be picky, but it obviously takes away from the massage time and was much longer than I’ve waited at any other place (I’ve had massages my whole adult life). Then the table and room were chilly. Yes, this is my fault for not saying anything but usually they have the heat on for the table and ask if you would like it adjusted. As for the actual massage, I was asked what areas I wanted to focus on, I had filled out the form, I was asked if anything was bothering me, I mentioned my back and shoulders and a knot in my calf. I’d also circled my shoulders. The massage therapist didn’t do anything different, not more attention in those areas, nothing. In fact he spent more time bending my feet, I thought I was going to have to tell him to stop at one point lol. I kind of expect that if I say something is bothering me, you’d spend more time in that area! Why should I have to ask again on the table? Also while the pressure was firm, it didn’t do much to loosen me up. Firm pressure to me is closer to deep tissue, those quick massages in the mall look like they’re more therapeutic than what I got! Thought I would give a different place in the area a chance since my regular massage therapist was booked this week, guess I’ll keep searching. Surprised at all the good reviews, it was what I relied on, but I guess everyone has different measurements for a...
Read moreI’m at 3.5 stars, which I’ve rounded up to 4 - slightly above average.
To me a 5 -star massage experience provides more than this place has to offer, in that ….
while the spa is appropriately dark and serene, with relaxing music, water provided, etc, the rooms are cookie-cutter looking, fairly basic and you can hear through the walls
there are no hot towels offered during the massage (the best massage spas offer this as part of the service, ie, on feet, back, etc)
no aroma during the massage (I know in many cases this Is an extra service, but again I’ve had massages where some basic aroma is provided as part of the standard massage)
not all basic body parts were included in the full body massage, at least the massage I had (head, for example - that should be standard - everyone, or at least most people, like a head rub)
Given the above and the number of 5-star reviews being given to this place, I’m left to wonder whether people in this area have ever had a true...
