As I stepped onto Navy Pier, it was clear – this isn’t your average crime-ridden alley of Gotham. The Pier is bustling with energy, much like a Gotham City night, minus the crime bosses and dark corners. The Joker would love this chaos, but Batman advises getting there early to avoid the madness. Be prepared to take a hike, the boat is towards the end of the pier. Boarding the vessel felt like entering the Batboat, if it were designed for leisurely sightseeing and not high-speed chases. The crew does not allow outside food or beverage - so be sure to empty that water bottle as if you were going through the TSA checkpoint. They also take your picture when you board - more for the entertainment than security, however. The cruise offers spectacular and stunning views of Chicago’s skyline, rivaling the vistas from Wayne Tower. Whether you're an architecture aficionado or just someone looking to relax, this cruise has something for everyone. The Chicago River and Lake Michigan might seem peaceful, but always be vigilant, AquamanJawn isn’t always patrolling. The water was very calm and not choppy - your experience may vary, however. Like the Penguin’s icebergs, the waters can be deceptive. While unlikely you’ll encounter rogue villains, Batman warns to watch for sudden weather changes. Keep an eye on the sky and pack a light jacket – those winds off the lake can be chillier than Mr. Freeze’s lair. Onboard, the entertainment is as top-notch as a Wayne Enterprises gala. Our cruise DJ had all of the classics. My request to play “Bat Dance” by Prince, fell on deaf ears, however. The onboard dining options are quite a treat – though not quite the gourmet spread of Wayne Manor. There’s a bar too, but remember – always stay sharp. Even Bruce Wayne knows to keep his wits about him. Rest assured, the cruise is safe – perhaps not Batman-level security, but close. The staff is vigilant and professional. If something does go awry, they’re prepared. But if Two-Face shows up, you know who to call. City Cruises at Chicago’s Navy Pier offers an experience that’s more thrilling than a rooftop chase across Gotham. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is electric, and the experience is as unforgettable as a Bat-Signal lighting up the night sky. Would recommend to a friend.

I would give more stars if possible! I loved my experience here last night. The view was amazing. The food was alright (half of the menu was good, the other half was okay). The reason why I would rate this experience more than 5 stars is because of the service. I love and appreciate the service my wife and I received on this cruise. Our server, Alex, was so kind and checked in on us often to make sure we were doing fine. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and Alex assured me he had a birthday treat prepared. The cheesecake was delicious! The drinks I ordered were not good…it was too strong for me so I couldn’t enjoy it. I went to the bar to ask the bartender to add juice in my drink because it was too strong. He kindly offered to make me a new drink. I requested it to be more sweet. Sadly, the new drink was still strong. I didn’t want to be rude and ask for another one. I took my drink back to my table. Danny (I think he was the manager), noticed me at the bar and I told him I was just changing my drink because it was too strong. Later on in the night, Danny found me and noticed I didn’t drink much of my drink. He insisted to get me a new drink I would enjoy and went to look for a different bartender. A few minutes later he came back with two drinks for my wife and I and it was DELICIOUS 🔥 I wanted to meet the bartender. My wife and I got a nice group picture with Danny and Pedro (the amazing bartender). Later on, Danny came back with two more of the delicious drink ❤️ Before I left, I wanted to thank Danny for the amazing experience and he gave me a nice souvenir gift 🙂 this was the best service I have ever received in my life. My wife and I felt so lucky. The service was above and beyond spectacular. We will come back (maybe in the summer) because of Danny, Pedro, and Alex ❤️ I wonder if we can request to be on their boat next time…

A group of six went on the Sunday Brunch Cruise. I recommend paying the high rate to park in the Navy Pier Parking Garage because you will literally be right next to the cruise boarding location. The cruise was scheduled to board at 12:15, but they were about 10 minutes late. If the weather was nice, that would have been okay. But it was really hot outside and it wasn’t any fun waiting. Getting on the ship was challenging because we had to walk up a ramp that was very steep. I can’t imagine that it was ADA compliant. Our table was extremely close to the table behind us and the seats were too close for comfort. Thankfully, no one sat at the table on the other side of us, and we were able to push our table back some. The food was absolutely amazing! Hence the rating of 4. I couldn’t have asked for more in terms of quality and taste…so bravo!! It was a buffet, and as some of the items ran out, it took too long for them to be replenished. The cruise was on Lake Michigan, so after we saw the skyline of the city, there wasn’t much more to look at. That was disappointing. In my opinion, the cruise was way too long. I was almost done eating by the time we left the dock and you can only look at the skyline for so long. An hour into the cruise, we were ready to get off. With that said, I’d be interested in trying the architectural cruise in hopes of better views.

A Magical Christmas on the Lake. Our Christmas Eve dinner cruise on the Odyssey was an unforgettable experience. The festive atmosphere, delicious meal, and stunning views of the Chicago skyline created a truly magical evening. As we boarded the boat, we were immediately greeted by the warm glow of holiday decorations and the sound of Christmas carols. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. The dining room was elegantly decorated, setting the perfect mood for a festive celebration. The meal was a culinary delight. Each course was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. We particularly enjoyed the [specific dish or drink you liked], which was a perfect complement to the festive ambiance. As we dined, we were treated to breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline, illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights. As the evening progressed, we danced to holiday tunes and mingled with fellow passengers. The festive spirit was contagious, and everyone was in high spirits. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the stunning fireworks display over the lake. It was a truly magical sight that left us in awe. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique and memorable holiday celebration. The Odyssey Christmas dinner cruise is a perfect way to create lasting memories with loved ones.
