So what a journey that today was. I kicked the day off by going to my new favorite religious store ( Pauline Books & Media, 172 N. Michigan, Chicago IL 60601) to buy a bracelet. Then my mission was to have it blessed by a priest for a new beginning. So the lady over at Pauline recommended that I go to st. Peter's catholic church. So I took the short walk over to the church and like as easy as one two three the priest blessed it and said a prayer for me. I felt like royalty. So pleased I even stayed to read a few bible verses. While reading amongst other worshippers, i was able to enjoy a few random songs off of the organ. This was not a mass hour and i just thought it was great to see they occupy there company during non mass hours. The moral of the story is i was reading a verse that said "i will only look to God as my God and not follow other gods" and the church floor, I swear to you shook. This was a sign that God is not only real and we should all as people should pray to him, but also I felt God was telling me in my time of need that no one in resistance is stronger then he, not even the devil himself. Which is funny because a priest over at another church told me the same thing only this time I got to feel the power. Amen I truly believe that my time at this church was an encounter with the lord himself. Pray and believe in your blessings, for he himself shall PROTECT and SAVE you from evil that may follow. Stay strong in this world and never lose sight with his...

In the Loop (downtown Chicago); a very nice spacious Holy Roman Catholic Church.

The presence of the Almighty Lord God is felt, the instant you step in

The Priests are so pious & prayerful, everytime I've done Reconciliation I've felt the unmistakable presence of Lord God Jesus Christ forgiving me, through them

I server as altar server sometimes and it's a very big blessing to stand so close to the altar, you cannot miss the Holy Presence of Lord God

Best part of this Church Everyday Holy Eucharistic Adoration from noon till evening ending with Holy Mass Celebration Everyday, Confession or Reconciliation can be done, "without any appointment", as there are many Father's available Holy Mass celebrated at least 4 different timings everyday During lunch break, if you are fasting attend a Holy Mass. Book stall at the ground floor has good collection of Holy Articles, Books etc (I feel its slightly costlier)

I am a...

I feel weird reviewing a church, but here goes: the priests and the organist do a fine job (well, par for the course for Catholic mass in the 2000's) and aesthetically it's a pretty decent church; however, I think that they need to tighten up what's allowed to go on during mass. I saw adults snacking on their children's food (not allowed!), a homeless man wandered in (guess there's nothing to do about that unless your ushers are able to deal with it), and one of the Eucharistic ministers was not dressed appropriately for entering the sanctuary (had on "acid-splashed" jeans). I only say this because if you're like me, stuff like this will be distracting and not allow you to focus on...

This church is very welcoming when I came for Friday morning mass. The granite altar is carved details of the holy family with detail yet simplistic in design. Several smaller side altars offer opportunity to give thanks, praise, or ask for guidance and to light candles. Beautiful stations of the cross and stained glass. The gift shop is on the lower floor with rosaries, cards. Books and more Accessible venue with heavy door.

Pretty cool place. Confession is currently held in the basement across from. The book shop. The bookstore is very impressive with all you need that is Catholic. Rosaries, literature, cards. Saint information cards and beautiful art and statuettes are available for purchase. It's very beautiful inside and quiet. Me and a group went a Tuesday afternoon, and there was low traffic.
