We've been to three magic shows in Chicago over the past seven months. This was one of two shows in intimate settings, and it was the most fabulous of them all!

The setting is upscale (get dressed up for a fancy night out, friends!) and inviting. This is a great environment to snap photos before the show begins. There's a full bar that is gorgeous with a selection of themed cocktails in addition to the usual items. There are many mocktail options as well. The show includes one cocktail, and there's table delivery during the show. Get there early - have a drink and spend time enjoying the environment before the show starts, or you'll be missing out on party of the overall experience. Doors open one hour before the show!

The show itself is magnificent! Dennis Watkins is such a talented magician, and he does an exceptional job of engaging attendees. The magic is astounding. Audience responses are enthusiastic, and the excited energy is contagious. It's impossible to leave there in a bad mood.

If you can swing it, the Encore performance following the show is a real treat. It's even more intimate and is a fun way of getting an up close look at trickery.

This is kid friendly (as long as they have the capacity to sit still for 90 min) but probably not for little ones under 9 or 10. My 9yo had a fabulous time.

Highly recommend seeing Dennis Watkins! We’re on vacation and I just looked up magic shows for evening entertainment and found the Magic Parlour. I saw all the five star reviews so I booked it plus the VIP Encore.

My husband and I were completely blown away and couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards. We’ve seen many magicians and entertaining shows in Vegas but this intimate setting made it memorable and so much better. Everyone in the room is made to feel special and part of the show.

Dennis is not only entertaining but he is incredibly talented. This show was definitely the highlight of our vacation. I wish he would perform in California so we could book him for a private event, but Chicago is lucky to have such a gifted magician in such a beautiful parlour. The ambience was spectacular and it just added a level of sophistication to a one of a kind show! Definitely deserving of 5...
