Our company hosted an event here last week and it was a less than great experience. When we first arrived to check in, there was a woman there (I'm assuming the manager because she was dressed more business casual and everyone else had on uniforms) that was extremely rude for no reason. Her tone was very condescending when we asked her simple questions pertaining to our event.
We were told that we would have 3 oches together and one of them was actually in the corner away from the other two. This was disappointing because we have these events to encourage people in the office to mingle with other departments they normally don't. The distance definitely discouraged that. To make matters worse, the people that were in the further oche did not get the same level of service and at one point were told they couldn't order certain drinks that were part of our package. I even witnessed a couple of servers roll their eyes when serving our party drinks. Why would someone roll their eyes with so many people around to potentially witness that! At the close of the party, staff just took it upon themselves to remove everyone's belongings from the oches. Instead of just asking that we exit the area to accommodate other reservations. People in our party were very upset because their expensive bags and coats were on the floor and some even got stepped on!
The most disappointing thing was that no one from Flight Club even reached out after the event to find out how everything went or if we enjoyed ourselves. All of this put a bad taste in my mouth as the person that coordinated everything. The positives were that the staff was able to accommodate a last minute cake surprise and our employees did have...
Read moreThis was my first time here and I don't think I'll be coming back. I went Saturday 03/02/19 for a friend's birthday and the service was just uggh. I get that the place was packed and busy but the waitress acted like she just didn't want to be there helping us. She had a major attitude and was just uninviting. I have worked customer service jobs where it was my job to smile and make sure people wanted to come back...even if I had a bad day or was in a bad mood; and I did! We don't always want to be pleasant but it's your job. The lady who helped our group to learn the ins and outs of the darts game was awesome! Overall though, the waitress ruined the experience. I ordered a drink and she just sat it down and walked away. She didn't let me know it was there, she didn't try to hand it to me or anything. I just had to deduce that the drink sitting at the other table in our section was mine, she never said anything to me. She is someone who should work back of house and not front of house cause I wanted to literally smack her! Again, the lady who helped with darts was nice. I ordered the mini bbq beef rib tacos, which were delicious!!! They should make them in full size because they were awesome! The drinks are a NO!!! They are super watered down. My rum and coke was basically coke with a splash of rum and a whole lot of ice water! lolbs With the bad service in the beginning it tainted my whole experience. Chicago definitely has better places to try if you want to drink eat and play games. Hell, I''de rather hit a beercade than here. On to the next new...
Read moreI booked reservations for my 30th birthday party for 8 people. I heard fun things about this place and I was very hopeful. I ended up being extremely disappointed and I did not feel welcomed.
Once we arrived, we were walked to the lower level and there was a private event going on so they walked us back upstairs and told us to check in up there. There was no one there to check us in so I had to ask two workers at the bar. I explained that I had reservations and they told us to step to the side for a second by one of the dart lanes. Workers kept walking by as if no one wanted to help us.
Then a very rude female worker came up to us and started yelling saying we can't be in this lane!!! She was extremely unprofessional and had a bad attitude right from the jump. She told me I didn't have a reservation!!!! She didn't even ask me my name or any information. I clearly had the proof of reservation and told her I spent $150 on my reservation. At this point, I was ready to leave after the intense inconvenience. Especially being my 30th birthday!
A manager stepped in and she handled the situation after making us move down a lane because that one was reserved (just how we had a reserved lane as well.)
The only good things I experienced about this place was our waiter, who was very sweet, and the actual dart playing, which was different and cool.
Overall, it was very disorganized and I definitely will not be returning here again. I felt very disrespected, especially on a...
