Again and Again, I come into another location after going to the one in Woodfield mall and Skokie Location of where the people that work in there are nowhere to be found and no help at all. I recently go to The location in Chicago one State Street and they are no help last year July. I came in store and bought a bunch of stuff. I came actually two days in a row and realized that one of my items had the sensor on it. Unfortunately, I work a job that is all year around and I’m too busy to continue to go back-and-forth to Zara and I come into the state street location to finally get the sensor taken off of the shirt well, now that’s Zara does the text the receipt I go and I still have the receipt. I open it now the receipt does not open. I am told by the manager at the location that I can go online and get the receipt. Well I get online to try to get the receipt and I can’t. He then says oh it’s because it was from 2024 so now you have to call customer service so I stand in the store for 45 minutes waiting for customer service to answer after being hung up on the first time second time someone answered and didn’t say anything and then the third time I finally was able to speak to someone, but guess what she was no help. I am sick and tired of customer service continuingly going down. It is not my fault that the Skokie location left the sensor on my T-shirt and now I have to go through 1 million skips topped in a jump to wait 24 to 48 hours to get the new receipt and then again drive all the way back downtown or back all the way to the Skokie location to Get the sensor taken off of my shirt. I am very pissed off and I am again sick and tired of 2025 customer service. It is going down and down every day. I have been in retail for 10 years and this is never how I’ve trained my employees. This is never how I’ve acted towards customers when someone asked you for help you help them you don’t point them in the direction to go find whatever you need or tell them to call customer service you sit there and you help the customer out and this is...
Read moreI'm very disappointed with my recent return experience. I made an in-store purchase in March right before quarantine started, and didn't get to return them till recently because of quarantine. I have the original receipt and the tags on the brand new clothes. Then the staff rudely told me I cannot return them because the return was only valid 30 days after the store reopened. COVID is still crazy out there and not everyone is comfortable just walk right into the store when it reopened.
When I asked for a refund of the store credit, I was told I cannot because "the product is not in season". This is ridiculous because first, at the back of the receipt, it mentioned nothing about the product had to be in season. It says "Merchandise returned after 30days with original receipt is refund in the form of a merchandise credit valid at Zara retail store in the US". Second, NO PRODUCTS can be in season after a 3-months quarantine! This policy may make sense during normal times, but definitely not in this special time.
I have been a loyal customer of Zara for many years - half of my closet is Zara clothes. I'm extremely disappointed that Zara, a big international company, lacks flexibility and empathy when it's treating its customers. Especially when compared to my experience of a successful return at a much smaller US brand on the same day. The purchase was made also at the beginning of quarantine, and they took my return back without...
Read moreLove the clothes. Had never shopped at a Zara before. The first day while I was in Chicago I found the store and had an enjoyable experience. All of the sales associates were helpful and friendly, even the lady security gaurd was friendly and helpful. The young man who checked me out was very friendly and nice. The second day I went back to get 2 coats that I had to think over and once again the lady security gaurd was very friendly and helpful. But when I went to check out the African American lady (she didn’t have a name tag or I would have written her name so That’s why I’m identifying her this way if management should read this and want to know who it is) working the registers was rude and hateful. She tossed my purchases in the bag giving little to no care about them and wouldn’t even look up to speak to me. I finally asked if she was having a bad day she snapped at me and informed me she was having a great day. My husband said he would hate to see her on a bad day if this was her great day. I would have given them 5 stars except for the sales associate at the register, and I hate to let one bad apple spoile the bunch as they say. Sad thing is I think she was a manager or at least a key holder. Dates went 10/27/2019...
