I have truly never left a negative review in my life, but this building and the management are absurd. My roommate and I have submitted approximately 20 maintenance requests within the span of 9 months of living here.
Some of the issues we have faced start with the air conditioning not working during the hottest week of summer. My room was at 79 degrees and maintenance could not fix the issue, I sent multiple emails to the management team and they did not fix the issue for 3 days & it was as only because I went down to the leasing office and begged they called for HVAC support. I could not even sleep in my apartment it was so hot. The AC didn’t work, but neither has the hot water in the shower for months. I had to turn on the shower for ~5 min+ to get warm water and it would never get hot… this issue didn’t get rectified for 3 months & we were more than patient until other issues started to arise. We had a leak from our wall from a unit above us & had to use all of our cleaning supplies to clean the mess. Our dishwasher also left a running flood from the kitchen to our family room (also had to utilize our cleaning supplies to clean the mess), along with our sink being filled up with brown water unable to drain. This flood ruined our wooden basket holder and blankets. Bless the maintenance guy who had to keep coming up here, but didn’t have the proper supplies to fix the draining issue of our sink. Once again, the issue was not rectified until we went back down to the leasing office and said we need to be able to utilize our sink since we don’t have anywhere to put our dirty dishes that can’t be washed in the dishwasher. We have sent email after email to the management team & they have offered no rent reduction and have not even given a simple apology for ignoring our issues from days at a time.
The issues outside of our unit have also been insane. The pool was closed for more than half of summer, which is the reason we chose to live here in the first place. The trash room and recycling room were piled for weeks over the summer and the hallways smelled like vomit.
I have included photos and videos of some of the issues we have faced living here. I am devastated about the way management has gone about these issues, given the amount we...
Read moreI have lived in this building for a year and a half and it is a beautiful property. While I had issues with the previous property manager, I am incredibly grateful that they have been replaced. Sabrina and Jenna are doing an amazing job and I know they are going to make this building the best it can be.
Not only are the apartments well built, soundproof, and spacious, you cannot beat the location. Pretty much everything you need is in a store that is somehow attached to this building. If you go through the parking garage, you can walk right over to Marianos or the bowling alley or movie theater or any number of stores and restaurants. It’s great because it’s halfway to downtown and halfway to the north side, so I think it’s one of the most convenient locations in the city. You don’t have the hustle and bustle of Downtown but you have the convenience of being 15 minutes away. Wrigley Field is also about 15 minutes away, so the central location is amazing. If you are looking for an upscale apartment and the best location, you should...
Read moreI lived here for 2 years (until my partner and I moved in together) and had a very positive experience. This was a great place to live while adjusting to my 60+ hour a week job. I was in one of the studios and found it to be very spacious and appreciated the in-unit laundry. Whenever I needed anything fixed, Isidoro was fast and prompt. The door people were great too - especially Shavon. TJ and Rebecca in the leasing office are incredibly responsive too. I felt like all my needs were taken care of, and living near the train and within the same building as Mariano’s was a time saver. A few negatives were the elevator situation (took months to fix but I also think that was probably a one-time thing related to the manufacturer) and that the walls could’ve been thicker. It got a bit rough when I was trying to work on weekends/nights and could hear my neighbor’s children through the walls, but that’s also just...
