I spent the better part of two weeks investigating the differences between LoveSac and two other “social media brands”. One has a showroom, one doesn’t. A friend has a couch from the brand without the showroom and it’s nice. It’s what made me want a couch like this. Ultimately I decided on LoveSac because of what I felt the quality was after discussing it over and over with my other half. Now mind you, I was in the furniture business for 20 years, high quality brands, I’m very knowledgeable, I’m also skeptical, because I have seen what inexpensive brands do. If I’m spending 35k on a car, I’ll spend 45k to get exactly what I want. Anytime I’ve tried to cut corners I’ve been miserable. “If it touches your back, your butt, your feet or the ground, don’t be cheap, you’ll regret it.” Every time. We went into the store knowing what we wanted, Jonathon and JT guided us, showed us why what we had picked wouldn’t exactly work like we thought, gave professional insightful suggestions and perfected our choices. Take your time, this isn’t a fast process, we got to lay around and answer questions. If there was a waiter I would have ordered appetizers and cocktails. We took advantage of the sale and no interest payment plan. Whole process was maybe two hours max but we made a big order. This was a Saturday. By the following Thursday my order arrived at 9:39am. 25 boxes. Most weighing 60-70lbs. Unfortunately they don’t offer white glove delivery but did give me some referrals on who could help. I decided it was too difficult to try to coordinate delivery with a handyman and since I live in an old building I would just handle it myself. Big mistake. Pay someone, 2-3 someone’s, to stand around and wait for the delivery window. I had hired a man to haul away my old sofa, and his arrival coincided with my final unpacking of the last boxes so I tripled his fee to haul away the boxes. All 25 of them. Heavy heavy heavy cardboard. Everything is quality. Start to finish it took me, late 50s, 6’ 210, in shape, gym and cardio, 5 hours to assemble. Unload to cleanup. Knowing what I know, I easily would pay $500-$600 for white glove delivery. I also know construction, I’ve remodeled a dozen homes so it’s not foreign to me. But the assembly is incredibly easy, anyone can do it, it’s just the muscle that makes this b so much work. This stuff is quality. I knew when I bought but I was blown away. The engineering, fit, finish, quality, weight, tailoring, all of it. Beyond my wildest expectations. Someone Six Sigma’d the crap out of this design. I’m not easily impressed, far from it. But I am beyond impressed. When I finally finished I was covered in sweat and exhausted. I couldn’t lay on this couch until I ate, recuperated and showered. An hour later I finally got to enjoy the spoils of victory and was so comfortable I couldn’t get up to get the remote to turn the tv on. I just layed there. If you want a good piece of furniture, that’s going to last, and last, and be more comfortable than you’d ever expect, this is the brand. It’s expensive yes. But nothing this amazing is cheap. 10/10 recommend. 1000 stars. The brand, the service, the people in the store. All of it. Only drawback is the no white glove delivery. My advice, hire someone who knows what this is, pay them to stand around all day on day of delivery, tell them to bring help, pay them too. After all this I would probably pay a grand for it. Probably wouldn’t have before, but now that I have the experience, next...
Read moreWould not suggest this couch to anyone. The dream soft upgrade for softer pillows is totally worth the extra cost if you are debating that. But, this couch is not the worth the money at the end of the day. Price breakdown, $4300 for a 3 seat couch and a chaise. That's the total including the 25% discount that they claimed is never that high, yet its been running every weekend for 2 months now. We also went with the cheapest cloth. Very expensive when you take into account the full time day job it takes to put this together. Each item arrives in a separate box so 18 heavy boxes you have to carry into your home. Then you have to remove each box and plastic wrap. Next you pull out the cushions that were shoved into the bottoms and put every single piece inside the cover - 18 covers and it's a work out. Each step is a two person job and you'll be sweating, trust me. Then you must watch a couple online videos to make sure you are doing it correctly. And now comes in your muscles, move all the pieces around and stomp on them to get the shoes in that never fully fits right. Corners are not angled perfectly, thread seams don't line up, and now you are 8 hours into building your own couch that is $4300. Unless you at agile and young, this couch isn't for you. I strongly suggest for you to go to Pottery Barn and buy something put together and gorgeous at this price range. FYI- This is coming from a woman who likes to build...
Read moreThe Sactional couch is a very versatile piece that will fit into my small house. The salesman demonstrated how to fit each piece together in any shape I might like to have in my living room. There are lots of fabrics to choose from and almost all of them are washable. This is wonderful since I have grandchildren and two cats who love to spread out on the couch I have now - shoes, wet paws and all. Honestly, I like to spread out on the couch for a nap now and then myself. Our present sofa is very, very comfortable for sitting but the depth of it isn’t great for sleeping comfortably. Lovesac’s sactional can be configured so that it’s deep enough for lying on or less deep so that it’s comfortable for sitting. The sides are removable so that I could even dangle my feet if I wanted to while...
