Ward (A. Montgomery) Park — Attraction in Chicago

It's just a great park with an amazing view of the city. Chicago has so many parks and it is nice green space for all the children to play in. This park has been expanded and remodeled now for the second time since it opened. The kids area was too small and need expanding. I wish there was more areas for the adults to sit and possibly a little more shade but kids don't care about stuff like that.

The river is right here so you can walk down and wave at the boats as they pass by. Beware of the geese though because they are a pain in the butt. I really wish they would go back to Canada. There is a Caribou Coffee next door too which makes...

It's simply a nice place to slow down and collect your thoughts. Dogs allowed. Small children playing. Many young families. Both dog and kid playgrounds. River at West end of park is filled with boats slowly moving by. There is a Seven/Eleven accross the street on the East side of the park. Nice for small group picnics. There is a short River Walk, with wildlife. Bring your stale bread.

This is a very small park. No baseball, tossing basketballs, setting up nets or tables. This park isn't the place to be if you want to...

You're in the showdow of the Original and the second/ final HQ buildings and warehouses of the Montgomery Ward store chain. Not only a retail giant but with Sears and Field and others protected Burnham's vision for Chicago and the parks and lakefront. It's a mid sized park, with a kids section, dog park, rolling hills (man made of course) and adjacent to the Chicago River..The new lights make it safer and more enjoyable.
