Sycamore Pool — Attraction in Chico

I want to thank all the good choices people do, however now this place was once a nice place for families, lovely, mellow environment, a place for meditation, an escape from reality, 99.99% successful people, a smoke free, drug free, etc now it’s loaded with druggies i made up a Nick name to the entire area “a Chico’s drug palace joint.” Parents, grandparents Uncle’s, aunties, cousins know what your being your love ones to as this place it’s like it use to be. Be warned it’s not safe to leave your stuff unattended, many peoples bikes go missing in a matter of seconds, your Wallets, phones, sun glasses, don’t leave nothing in car. Make sure to always have a person near your stuff to safe good. The cops, forest rangers can only do so much to keep these beautiful place welcoming, the mayor and other people have ask that more security be their, but like I said it’s not possible for a cop or security to be their 24/7. This place used to be amazing. It’s not anymore. Transient needles in the pool here and there…. This place needs a fresh new set of paint and some upgrades. Replace that puke 🤢 green color with some blue. The worst thing about one mile pool is the cigarette butts EVERYWHERE. Chico needs to show some civic pride and revitalize sycamore pool and all of one mile. This is the jewel of Chico and it is in shambles. Looking to leave Chico over this issue. Quality of life has deteriorated significantly 💯 Also, wanted to add that some kook gave a review that “ due to it’s northern location” this guy is most definitely NOT familiar with Chico. Chico is blazing hot. We start hitting the 70’s in the end of January and triple digits can occur in may, June, July, August, September and October facts! I would consider Chico a warm weather local unless it’s Dec and January. Chico is by no means “cooler” because of its northern location!...
