Big Sandy Superstore — Attraction in Chillicothe

Beyond satisfied with my experience! My ancient washer died on Sunday night and after a little research, it was quickly apparent that repairing it wasn't worth the cost. Went Monday morning to pick out a new unit. The owner, Cody, was exceptionally kind and patient with my million questions, particularly because whoever owned this house before had built a shelf around the washer and dryer that left exactly zero extra space. The purchase was quick, I got a great deal, and I left confident with my purchase, however when I got home I discovered that my old washer was 1/2 inch narrower than Any Other Washing Machine Ever. Talk about nerve wracking! After measuring a million times and doing more research, I realized that my ancient dryer was 2 inches wider than most new dryers (and I had a friend in need of a dryer!). I texted Cody the next day and he answered my new slew of questions about measurements and helped me add the dryer to the original invoice and get the bundle deal. After removing the old dryer to give to my friend, I discovered more and more oddities of this tiny laundry nook and Cody was always responsive and informed, willing to measure a million dimensions, and helping to ensure that installation would go smoothly when the appliances arrived. I really can't praise the service highly enough! Even as someone on a budget. I still felt like I got VIP treatment.

The delivery was a cinch! They helped me work it out around my work schedule and the guys who installed it were quick, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. And even tho it was already late in a very hot day and I'm sure they were very tired, they also made sure to answer all my questions and checked everything was working perfectly before leaving.

Update: I was contacted by Annette from the store and she was extremely nice and very determined to rectify the situatio, which she did. Even though some of the issues I was having were out of he control her customer service was excellent.

I have had nothing but issues since the delivery of this furniture it was ordered in February I was aware it wouldn't be in until July for my coffee table and end table however the coffee table was damaged which happens, then I had to wait 2 more months (note I sold all my furniture because I was preparing for my new furniture) for the replacement which was delivered with my table and chair which should have been here in August. This was pushed back by the manufacturer which I know is out of their control. This was delivered September 22nd with the wrong hard ware to put the legs on the table so we needed to run to Big Sandy (upon the suggestion of the delivery guys) to get replacements ,he got to the store they did not have any so instead of waiting for someone to contact me to ship the hardware he went to menards and got the correct bolts and did it himself. I really didn't want my table sitting in my dining room upside down on 4 chairs any longer than it needed to be nor did i want to wait to use my new furniture, I think almost 8 months is long enough. I completed a survey and they mentioned I would be contacted ,which I am sure I won't be and that is fine because anytime I've contacted them It's not their issue and tell me it's someone else's problem so it's useless and a waste of my time which is fine because don't plan on going back to big Sandy to order furniture again. I went to Big Sandy Superstore in Chilicothe twice this week on two different occasions. First time i was browsing furniture, and next day -a mattresses. I think both occasions deserve separate review post.

On the Day One, i was considering trundle bed for my grandchildren, when I was approached by sales person name Richard. He offered to show me their products and asked if i have any questions. I haven't visit furniture stores for while, so naturally, i got curious about new trends, colors,fabrics and styles. I was happy to let Richard accompany me around the floor. He is very knowledgeable about their top lines, rating, materials, specials, financing, best sellers and special orders on any piece i pointed to him. Literally- ANY piece i pointed to, he knew everything about. As i live out of town- additionally, he offered me to find any information about delivery prices, timing, warranties, etc.

I need to mention, this store manages their floor very smartly : different associates is responsible for different departments - furniture, mattresses, and appliances. This work style giving employees opportunity to become true experts in their products. As a customer, you also have their undivided attention, without interfering with " different traffics". If you are like me- and like professional opinion, but don't like to be pushed to spend thousands of dollars before you are ready- this is the right person, who handle questions, in friendly manner, not as a sales person.
