Heurich Mobility Playground — Attraction in Chillum

Really wanted to like this playground. It has potential. Tall climbing net up to a tree fort immediately attracted my 4-year-old. Nice climbing area and 3 different slides for smaller kids. Good set of swings, including 4 regular swings, 2 infant seats, 2 locking plastic seats, and a two-person swing. Also a fun two-person zip-line swing. A big xylophone and different drums to bang on. Thick, high-quality artificial mulch surface.

The problem is the playground was littered with trash. I spent the first 30 minutes picking up broken glass. A couple butts from joints too. The rope bridge was also damaged and roped off with caution tape.

Would be a nice spot if it wasn't trashed. Dedicated parking area with a decent...

This new beautiful playground is accessible from the Anacostia River Trail and is great for children 0-10. My young kids love the swings, slides, and zipline. The tree house intrigues them but is really only safely accessible for kids 6+. This playground is a 2 minute walk from a super hero themed playground and playing fields as well as adventure ls along the Anacostia River.
