Usually I stop by this location if I’m in the neighborhood. Today I went to purchase one of their rotisserie whole chicken to use for my home made soup. Got home, and started to break up the rotisserie chicken to add to my broth. The most horrible smell came from the chicken as I looked deeper I could see the rotten bones and meat of it. I quickly wrapped it up threw it away and bleached everything. I called customer service NOT to ask for a refund but to make them aware of my purchase and to say hey, if mine was bad, I’m sure the rest are too. They transferred me to daily department without a care and I explained the situation to the next person who seemed to not care as well. She said, ok just bring your receipt in for a refund. I said, “ thank you but I’m not calling for a refund I’m call for you all to take the rest of those rotisserie chickens off so no one will get sick.!l She said she will bring it to her manager’s attention. I hardly doubt it. So FYI please be aware bc the date on the package was current. I would hate for anyone to get sick bc they’re cooking outdated...
Read moreThey make me want to buy a farm. The fruits and veggies look ok but once you get them home they are hardly edible. They have been chemically ripen ed or dyed to look ripe but the fruits are like tasteless sponges inside or veggies coarse or stringy inside. The DC/Md stores are very busy which should make them cost effective but the prices show no mercy, esp. when it comes to meats. Its hard to find any beef less than $8 to 10 a pound. When you travel much further out to the suburbs at least 25miles the food is much better. Inner city people are receiving trash. I lived here 30 years ago and it was the same. I had to travel way beyond the city and black communities to get decent food at a decent price. There is price gouging in the inner city. Black neighborhoods pay more. Just travel to white suburbs and you know ehat i say is true. Many have...
Read moreTheir cooked chickens are good but the customer service at this place is so bad! The woman at the deli was rude for no reason. The cashier looked like she hated her life. She didn’t speak to me at all. She didn’t even tell me my total. Like she was a mute or something. The next time I went, same thing, different deli woman was rude again for no reason and the cashier was in training so I was patient and understanding that he seemed flustered. But when I gave him exact change he told me he could t accept coin and to give him a dollar instead and I was so confused by that. Both times I’ve been have not been pleasant experiences. The employees should be nicer to the customers cause without us they wouldn’t have jobs. Anyways, that’s the end of my rant. I will most likely not be returning...
