Cafe Tacuba Sport Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Brentwood

The place was absolutely CLEAN AS A WHISTLE. The staff was very nice. The drinks was on point " JUST TOO DAM JACKED UP ON THE PRICE". THE FOOD WAS NOT AT ALL WHAT THEY ADVERTISED WHEN I GOOGLED THEM ON LINE (AS FAR AS PORTIONS). ON LINE THE CRAB CAKES WERE BIG & ROUND, BUT WHEN I GOT THERE & ORDERED THEM THEY WERE FLAT AS A PANCAKE/WAS NOT SEASONED AT ALL & LOOKED PRE-PACKAGED....... THE MACORONI & CHEESE LOOKED LIKE IT CAME OUT OF A BOX & THEY JUST ADDED EXTRA CHEESE TO IT, & THE PORTION WAS THE AMOUNT U WOULD GIVE TO A CHILD. THE COLLARD GREENS WAS GREAT, IN FACT THE COLLARD GREENS WAS THE ONLY THING WORT PAYING $22.65 FOR ( YES THAT'S HOW MUCH THEY CHARGED FOR THAT KIDS MEAL THEY PRESENTED ME WITH. ........... MY HUSBAND ORDERED SALMON, CORN & SPINISISH. THE PORTIONS WAS A JOKE. THE SALMON WAS THE SIZE OF A EXTRA LARGE THICK CHICKEN STRIP, THE CORN WAS STRAIGHT OUT OF A CAN HEATED UP, THE TWO OR THREE FORKS OF SPINSH WAS GREAT ( JUST NOT ENOUGH FOR A GROWN MAN. THESE 2 LIL KIDS MEALS & 2 DRINKS CAME TO $80. PLUS WE TIPPED THE WAITRESSES$10. IF WE WANTED A HAPPY MEAL WE WOULD HAVE GONE THROUGH THE DRIVE THROUGH AT MCDONALDS. WE WILL NEVER / NEVER / EVER RETURN THERE AGAIN. & WE NOT HATING. WE LOVE TO SUPPORT THE BLACK OWNED BUISNESS, BUT $80 FOR 2 KIDS MEALS!! LIKE REALLY.........

Horrible experience. I went in and was not greeted. Was sat down by the hostess who volunteered to wait on me since it was my first visit. She took my appetizer order but then I never saw her again. After I finished my appetizer I was waiting for about 15-20 minutes on the waitress. She never came back. A gentleman who worked their came by and got my plate and said he would let the hostess/waitress know I needed to order. She did not come. So another waitress comes and takes my order. Then another waitress brings out my food. The macaroni was bland and the broccoli was extra salty. The chicken tenders were small. The portion sizes did not match the prices. By this time I was frustrated. I asked my second waitress for my check. She brings the check, but then another waitress picks up the check!! As I am writing down 0 dollars for the tip because of the terrible service, I believe it was the owner standing over me watching me as I filled out the check. Over the course of my time there, I had 3-4 different people wait on me. Who do I tip? This was an awful experience and I wish I could have my money back. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I've been to Trinity Grill and Bar twice this year. The first time was on a Thursday evening for a date. We went for happy hour, sat at the bar, enjoyed great service and conversation with our bartender.

The second time was for a happy hour hosted by my college friends. It was packed (which is a good thing), but service was subpar and very slow. The quality of the food was also very lackluster. I understand that things can become very hectic when an establishment is understaffed and overwhelmed by capacity. But the ATTITUDE of the staff is what was appalling! The bartenders/servers acted like you were bothering them by asking then waiting for a drink and/or food for 15-20 minutes. At the end of the night , they all stood around the bar dancing and talking to each other, counting their receipts like they had a great night! Also the staff were cleaning around the remaining patrons and sighing heavily insinuating that we were in their way at about 10pm. The bar closed at 12am! I really want to support black businesses, but they need to do better. I will not be returning here nor recommending it for...
