Read moreEucalyptus Park is one of the destination parks Chula Vista can boast of. I remember they had that spinning wheel that I always watched kids going flying off or get dragged. I learned the lost art of archery, at the top field was the pony league past the tennis courts they also had benches equipped with the old school bbq grills. Public restrooms in front of parking lot on C street and also access on 5th Avenue. Horseshoe pits next to Archery targets and soft ball field with basketball court behind. The playground is of course now safety retrofitted for small children. A lot going on in the summer time afternoons surrounded by the south side grove of eucalyptus and that treacherous cliff from the property line straight down. Read moreThis is one of my FAVORITE parks. Lots of space and lots to do here. 4 tennis courts, WITH LIGHTS for the evening, 2x kids playgrounds and swings, baseball field, a dog park, a woody area behind the tennis courts (you have to see it to know what I mean), plenty of grass area, benches under shade, and ice cream trucks usually make their rounds here.
On top of that, you have major stores nearby: Walmart, Aldi, Ross, Dollar Tree, etc. Where you can buy last minute things if you're holding a party or gathering at the park.
Only downside is nearby homeless population, but I haven't seen them pitch their tents...
