Mariscos Mar Y Tierra — Restaurant in Chula Vista

The times that i have gone here is always excellent service through the phone or in person. Sometimes there’s a long line but it is worth the wait. I see a lot of reviews from last year that is 4 stars or 1 stars because of the food and environment or for some dumb reason. All i can say that from the times I've been here the cocktail locos and normal cocktails are bomb. The oysters are bomb as well. Specially if you get the oyster shots(might not like the oyster shot if you cant handle sourness ahha if not get regular they are good as well) but for me it is perfect. I’m not sure where they get the oysters but i have gone to tj oyster bar, brigantine, ironside and they cant compare. They are the best oysters in san diego and chula vista in my opinion( everyone has their own opinion ofc) the oysters taste like the ocean just how i like them and they are as good as the oysters in cabo. The shrimp they use is perfect and high quality. The best aguachiles are aguachiles negros. I havent tried the other two flavors which are red or green. But when i tell you that they taste good they really are. Unlike other mariscos places like cacho or negro durazo(not throwing them under the bus. The places are still good but not compared to this place)which is known in chula vista where they tend to just throw in the shrimp without marinating the shrimp. this spot i can tell they make sure that shrimp is marinated. Even the shrimp quesadilla taste bomb. I do think that they need to improve the shrimp with arrachera quesadilla because the arrachera is too salty(not sure what could be but the times i ate it with arrachera it felt salty but it is still good). The tacos de marlin are also the best. The consome they provide is good as well. Whoever is writing bad reviews is just a crybaby. Definitely the best spot i have gone for mariscos in san diego. This spot is well gatekeeped in national city but it is time for the owner to recognize what they have. I dont see that they have an instagram or anything for promotion which is the reason why people dont know about this place. All i know that they need to keep up the good work and spread out all...

Disappointed in there food my wife and i decided to go there to get some fish tacos we ordered 5 fish and 1 marlin taco.the fish tacos were flavorless,heavy bread with no fish tasted like we were eating cabbage tacos and the tortillas tasted like they were old because they were dry and breaking apart. The marlin tacos were a huge disappointment never have I been to a place to eat this type of taco and I couldn't finish it it was so dry and tasted like marlin jerky with cabbage which I thought was odd because marlin tacos are not supposed to have cabbage it's supposed to be with onions bell peppers and cheese.i wouldn't recommend eating the fish tacos they probably have other dishes that might be good but bgg if they mess up on fish tacos I wouldn't give them a chance...

This place literally has the BEST fish tacos you will find in California AND in Mexico guaranteed. I have been to hundreds of taco trucks and these are the only tacos that are fresh, to the point where the tacos are steaming when you get the order. They cook the food right when you order, the vegetables are crunchy and excellent. The staff is amazing, they are super friendly. The truck also provided free consume (seafood soup) with any order so it’s like a perfect appetizer while you wait. You feel like you’re going to a restaurant with the type of service they give you.
