Yummy Spoon — Local services in Chula Vista

Today I had the happy chance to come inside of Yummy spoon. I was really surprised for what I saw. The please looked super clean, the store itself was all renovated vs Golden Spoon (the older Business) They have a good variety of frozen yougurt. They have None fat, Milk free, regular and an array of several flavors. They an excellent job fixing the store. The way it works is you grab you bowl and you add to it what ever flavor (s) you want, then you go to the toppings bar and get as many toppings as you want. They have fruit, nuts, BIG gummy bears, gummy worms, Oreo cookies, mint chocolate, chocolate mini kisses, brownies, cheese cake, berries, Pineapple, Grapes, peanut butter cups, kiwi, pretzels, Rocks, chocolate sprinkles, cookie dough, sprinkles, bobba filled (fruit flavor), and a hole lot of syrups, chocolate fudge, caramel fudge, Nutella and much more! I got a chance to meet the owners, a young couple beginning a great business, they are very nice and the service in the place was excellent. Great customer service and great atmosphere. I liked to meet the owners it was very nice. This place is children friendly / approved as well as Handicap approved. They do have a restroom.

How are the flavors: I got Peanut butter, Pistachio & Cake batter and each of the flavors were really delicious and did tasted as they said. Great flavor, we needed a Yummy store like yours. Also know that you can put as much as you want in the bowl they have 2 sizes, the price is based on the wight of the product after you server your bowl and add your toppings I paid $.50 per oz and it was very reasonable. I wish them the best and I am looking forward to go back in and taste new flavors and toppings soon.

If I could give 4.5 stars, I totally would. The service was amazing, and I'm very impressed by the owner's presentation and growth in such a short period of time since opening. However, I'm very blunt with my reviews, so there are a couple of things that could use improvement.

The ube froyo was amazing, the strawberry horchata was just okay. Not enough strawberry flavor to it, and it mostly just tasted like cinnamon as opposed to horchata. So that's the main thing that kept this from a 5 star review.

You purchase based off of size rather than weight, and it comes with 5 toppings, so it is a pretty good value. I would suggest requesting the toppings to be layered in, because we received them all stacked in the center inside of a decent sized gap in the yogurt. My wife and I shared an extra large, which came out to be $10.50 before tip. Not bad, but the extra large here was about the same as a medium at our normal froyo spot.

Once again, customer service was top notch. 👌 Atmosphere was really cute and cozy, and we got there at a good time because right after we ordered it got very busy. We saw this shop on TikTok and wanted to try it and support a local women/Latinx owned business. I really think that she has something special growing here.

Will definitely come by and try again once they have been in business a little longer and smoothed out the early stage...

This place is delicious! Stopped in to try some frozen yogurt and ended up ordering hwachae, a Maruchan elote cup, and 2 froyos, as well as sampling a flavor for next time (we bought tart plain, taro, mango, and I tried the Vietnamese coffee flavor, all were GREAT). Tanya at the register was so helpful and so sweet! She made lots of suggestions and explained what some of the menu items were. Definitely coming back to try more!
