It is amazing to have a community group with the resources of Clifton Cultural Arts Center. After completely rehabbing a building they were renting, they lost that space, but had the resources to build their own building in the heart of the Clifton Gaslight District in Cincinnati. Three floors, plus an agricultural/ concert venue rooftop! Gallery space, art creation, music lesson rooms, orchestra rehearsal and a performance space, and a "Make" shop. And the sweeping windows add views of this beautiful urban area of town from an entirely new perspective. One picture below is one of the views from the ground floor of this brand new building. To say I am disappointed with how this turned out is more than an understatement. The exorbitant pricing structure makes it a far cry from a community resource. The prices are designed to invite certain people in, while keeping other ones out. I think that’s a disgusting move of gentrification. Every person deserves exposure to the arts and arts education.
