It has the feel of both a larger arena, as well as, a small theater type venue🏟. Even the "nosebleed" seats offered a great view of the stage. I do think the venue is pretty outdated and definitely needs an upgrade. It's been 25+ years since I've even seen an arena with permanent seating on the floor. Most concerts I've been to, floor tickets were GA seating. Due to the physical seats being present, the price for floor tickets were outrageously priced from day 1. The "nosebleeds" were already over $100/ea the first day they went on sale at Ticketmaster. I've never paid that much for seats, to see that same band, that weren't GA floor tickets.
They did have an outside area where you could go smoke🚬 or just chill out under a heated tent, that was easily accessible and still considered within the venue. Re-entry was allowed from that area only. All the beverages were served in plastic cups🥤 so no worries about broken glass anywhere & security did their jobs without being overly & unnecessarily aggressive. The only real issue was the limited access to facility bathrooms🚻 & the "first aid station"🏥. I never was able to find anything other than porta potties. Also, you had to do alot of walking in circles 🔄to get to certain vendors, instead of offering the same on each side of the arena. The first aid station🏥 should have been better operated. For being run by real medical professionals👩⚕️👨⚕️, they were really under prepared for potential minor to moderate injuries. I needed their services when I had first arrived and they really seemed to be confused on how to provide, what I considered, quick & basic treatment for a small head wound. They didn't have, nor did they even seem to know what, liquid bandages were. Same for just simple butterfly sutures or any kind of ice pack or even just plastic bags for ice. All they had were cheap band aids. They didn't even have gauze pads, medical tape, or peroxide/alcohol/saline that I could have used to make a temporary bandage with. They also mentioned no smelling salts in the case of fainting. Which if I know 1 thing about concerts in an enclosed space, fainting is extremely common. Even if they weren't anticipating there being any type of behavior that might lead to injuries needing any of those products, I would still think it makes more sense to over prepare something, as necessary as, a first aid station, then to not have it stocked with even the most basic of supplies, at all.🤷🏻♀️🤕
Overall, I had a good time. This was my first event at US Bank arena. I would probably go again, but it would REALLY have to be worth paying $100+ for seats that weren't, at least, mid-level seats. The location is really convenient to the Greater Cincinnati & surrounding areas. As well as, being fairly accessible via bus/scooter or uber/lyft🚕. So if you don't want to fight the traffic in/out, pay jacked up prices for parking, or don't want to drink🍺 & drive, alternative modes of transportation 🚌🛴🚕 are a reasonable option. Plus, you're within walking🚶🏿♂️🚶♀️ distance to the downtown Cincinnati🎡🌃 & Newport on the levee🌉 bars &...
Read moreBuyer beware of clicking on anything related to tickets at this venue through Stubhub. There was a service fee of $35.00 per ticket and zero explanation as to why!!! You will have to download either the Stubhub or Ticketmaster App in order to gain entry to the venue as no screenshots or email verifications are accepted.
GOOGLE Maps GPS navigation from I-75 into downtown helped immensely and the adjoining garage created convenience to walk directly from the parking area to the landing or main entry that boasts a beautiful view South of the Ohio River and area. Handicapped access as well as charging stations were prevalent, as well as elevator entry and access. The garage is only about one light from another bridge that provides entry into Cinci from N. Ky.
All the Police, vendors selling T-shirts in the garage and on the landing, and working to direct traffic after the event were friendly and had that conservative Midwest, but still Ohio kind of charm that we are known for. We literally had 0 negatives to say about anyone or anything!
Heritage Bank designed the venue with seating and acoustics that sounded and looked amazing. It was a sight for the senses as a friend and I sat,, sang, and cheered through music by MAMMOTH, DAUGHTRY and finally CREED! Even in the nosebleeds I don't think the place has a bad seat. Steps leading from the first floor landing all the way up the highest seats are cast from concrete. Be aware this can and does pose a very serious fall risk as other than border railings there are no handrails to assist.
Laser lights were on overkill. Pyrotechnics shot massive plumes of fire from behind the drum riser, a more traditional light show and forced 20 foot long smoke, and during their finale sparks fell in huge chunks of gold from above the drums. Handicapped seating is available with landing areas so those in wheelchairs can enjoy the show with a reasonably good view from the first floor landing areas.
T-shirts at the venue began in price at about $45 each and were as much as $85 or more. Food was what one may expect, nacho chips and cheese dip, or pretzels, bottled water and brews. Since no outside beverages are allowed as an added deterrent to identify having bought it there, all lids are removed and are not given to you when you buy a bottle of water.
Leaving out the garage makes those driving all travel in the same direction with options to turn uptown for several blocks in order to leave to ones respective homes on either side of the river. The city is well signed, and used cones and barriers to best accommodate drivers. I highly recommend this venue. Thank you to the staff of the Heritage Bank Arena and Cincinnati Police. You are very...
Read moreThe venue is fine and the seats we paid for had a great line of sight and were cushy. We took our boys to see WWE wrestling and they had a great time.
It’s understandable that it takes a while to get through the doors but the purse policy is ridiculous. The allowable purse size is barely bigger than an iPhone. Listen - you are causing a real issue with half the population attending these shows. What are we supposed to do, shove tampons and pads in our back pockets and have no sense of confidentiality? It’s shameful.
Additionally, when I was told my purse was too big I calmly said, “no problem. Do you have a locker I can rent to store it?” They do not. I’m willing to accommodate this newer mandate that is being rudely enforced by a boomer who probably had his wife carry everything in her purse for him, but you can’t expect to have us walk back over the bridge to put it in our car where it could very likely be stolen. I’ll accommodate you if you make accommodations as well. Let’s compromise.
At an event with small children who are out of diapers but are still messy little humans, it’s nice to be able to bring wet wipes and an extra pair of undies . Where do you suggest I put these things?
Additionally, the tampon machine was not stocked and there was a real issue for a young lady on the restroom. No doubt she missed half the show dealing with the inconvenience. You can’t take purses away from women - we are carrying important things for the entire family.
Shame on you Heritage Bank Center. Women need their purses. Its exclusionary. You can’t exclude females when 25% of our live, we are actively bleeding. If your rules are going to be so stringent, you need the flexibility to offer amenities that are easy to access.
I didn’t buy these tickets, my husband did but when I have the choice of where we attend the next venue, I’m willing to drive the same distance to either Lexington, Louisville, or even Indianapolis if our show is...
