My husband and I recently got married at the Lytle Park Hotel. This spot wasn't originally on our radar when we were venue hunting, and we had actually booked somewhere else. Because of all the COVID regulations, we were luckily able to drop our previous venue, then the Lytle Park Hotel slipped onto our radar..and THANK GOD it did. I'm definitely one of those people that believes in things happening for a reason and this happened for a reason. It was so much better than our original plan and it was our dream location. From the moment we walked into the lobby we were greeted with the kindest faces and the most beautiful backdrop. Then, we knew this venue was the "one" when we got off the elevator to the Vista rooftop. Having the opportunity to have an entire rooftop to ourselves for the night, overlooking the city, with the option to still be somewhat inside under a glass ceiling - it was the perfect solution to all of our COVID worries, while also just being perfect as is.
The location, the service, and the detail that the Lytle Park Hotel provides guests is incomparable. What made our experience so amazing, though, was our wedding coordinator, Aryn. I am forever indebted to this woman. She was my rock throughout the whole planning process, and all the way up until the day of the wedding.
Planning a wedding in the middle of COVID is HARD. Aryn never missed a single email or call, she was always on-top of all of our questions, easing our anxieties. She went above and beyond to ensure our day wasn't just special, but magical. My biggest anxiety (aside from a pandemic wedding), were the logistics involved the day-of since I was my own planner. At the Lytle Park, that's not even a worry. They. handle. everything. They want you to enjoy your big day, worry-free, and ensure that you and your guests have the best time, and we did. I didn't have to go check out the space ONCE the day-of, Aryn and the Lytle Park team took care of everything. They setup my decor flawlessly, coordinated with all of my vendors, and navigated a torrential downpour 2 hours before our wedding like a pro.
Aryn was an absolute saint. I can't say enough positive things about her. She not only made our entire #lytleparklovestory one for the books, but she provided so many other incentives for us that made our entire weekend unforgettable. I'm still pinching myself.
If you're booking here...the entire hotel is absolutely beautiful, but splurge on the rooftop. When they opened the glass ceiling during our first dance, it was so magical. Our guests are still talking about it! The Lytle Park Hotel was the best venue decision we made. From the food (oh my god the food!), to the staff ensuring my husband and I were eating throughout the night or had a beverage, to cutting our cake for us, to offering complimentary favors, to tearing down for us - the list seriously goes on. Our day was absolutely perfect, we wouldn't change a thing.
Make your life easier, book this venue. I promise you...
Read moreLet me start off my review by saying the hotel is absolutely stunning, the ambience is amazing and the room itself was impeccably clean. The valet staff is very friendly. Unfortunately thatâs where my compliments end. I booked a rainwater suite with the soaker tub for our stay. Upon checking in, I walked into a room that was not the rainwater suite. No one even told us to that the room I booked was not the room I was going to receive. Considering I authorized a charge of at least $380 for this suite, I expected to get the room I booked. We went back down to the front desk and was told the room we originally booked was no longer available. Uhm okay. But to ââmake it rightâ theyâll shave $150 off our rate, give us a comp breakfast and upgrade our current room. The rate change was not really a comp considering our room was not the initial suite we booked to begin with, so it only makes sense to lower our rate. The âupgradedâ room they gave us, was the exact same room we had just walked into, just a different floor. We didnât bother getting the breakfast. Next, I wiped my face on a towel, only to realize it was dirty and had smeared makeup foundation all over it. Gross. Called down to the desk asking for clean towels... they never came, until my husband had already gotten them himself and said something to them. Then we called down to guest services to retrieve our car from valet, âGreat, itâll be pulled up in 10 minutesâ they said. After waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes, we asked the valet if they were getting our car. They had no idea we even wanted it. Guess guest services didnât tell them like they said they would. After checkout, we were home when I logged into my bank account and see an over $400 charge for the original rate I booked for the room I did not receive. I was over it at this point. I called to talk to the manager and was told that the $150 would fall off and that our actual total in our folio reflected the $150 off. Okay, whatever but they shouldâve been able to change the rate before the card was actually charged. I told the manager that overall our experience was pretty poor and I was frustrated I didnât get what I booked and that it may deter us from ever coming back. He told me he had done all he could to make it right, offered me 5,000 points (which is good for basically nothing) and told me âitâs a new year, time to be positive.â Thanks for the belittlement?? Anyways, despite the beauty of the property, itâs a hard pass for us if we ever decide to do another staycation in our...
Read moreWe stayed here as a night away before my wife's sixth open heart surgery. We always try to do something special before hand.
We showed up with no reservation and got a nice room with a nice soaking tub. The bed was great. The couch is rock hard though. The shower is very nice and a dual vanity is great.
Two draw backs are: The toilet paper holder is in the perfect spot to smack your knee into. This really needs adjusted. The bath tub still had some hairs and dirt in it. We went and asked for disinfectant wipes to wipe it down so my wife could take a bath.
I asked the front desk for restaurant suggestions. They sent me over to Sarah, who worked with me to figure out dinner for my wife. She worked hard to help narrow down the place then we ended up canceling the reservation since my wife was exhausted from the three hour drive. Sarah knew it was a big night for us and ended up showing up at our room personally with a bubbly and berries pack! She even hand wrote a note telling my wife good luck! I was blown away with the care and thought fullness Sarah showed us in the eye of our storm.
We decided to eat at the bar even though they did not have a full menu. The burger was great and my wife enjoyed her noodles. The bartender went out of his way to help with drink suggestions and taking our food order. He even talked the food staff into making a dish they don't have on the menu just for us. The triple chocolate mouse at the end sealed the deal!
We really did enjoy our stay here. This is the first high end hotel that we have stayed at in Cincinnati and I can't see us staying elsewhere in the area if we need this level of service. My wife made it through surgery, praise the Lord. Even though we were on the cusp of a life altering surgery, this hotel became a little oyasis for us that allowed us to be husband and wife again before it...
