Greeting is everything! My husband and I went there this past Saturday before the game. We sat at the bar and my husband said âHi, how are you to the bartender.â Her response wasâOh, just trying to get out of here.â As she kept moving around behind the bar not really trying to greet us. Note the bar wasnât busy at this time. This was not really what we were expecting to hear but okay, whatever. Then he asked if we could order before she left and she replied sure.â Her demeanor wasnât rude, but it wasnât exactly welcoming either So, we ordered our food in which the burgers were amazing. We watched as she was being relieved by the on coming bar tender. She then became happy and tried to step her customer service up as she wanted everyone to cash out so she could get the rest of her tips. For someone who was so ready to get off of work she lingered around for a while. So we cashed out before we were really ready and finished our meals. Then we got up to leave and head to the game. As we walked back by the outdoor area there she sat with a drink sitting at a table. Now, I worked as a bartender and as a waitress for 14 years. Customer service is everything! When people go out they are paying you to provide them good customer service along with a light and fun atmosphere. Not hear about how you are ready to leave and making the customer feel like they are inconvenience. I donât get upset ever when we go out to eat or drink and things arenât always great. I know all to well what itâs like to be short, have my butt handed to me, people rude to me or not tip. I get it. But, this was not cool and I felt the need to write this review. Itâs unfortunate because the bar is great and the food was great too, just not the...
Read moreCame here last night with a couple friends before the Cyclones game. Right away we were treated pretty poorly by the female bartender. When we sat down and were talking and deciding what and how we wanted to order, she asked from across the bar âso are you guys gonna order anything or what?â. We hadnât even been sitting down for 5 minutes. I had every intention of walking up to the bar when we were ready to order. We ordered 2 orders of tenders and fries, loaded tots, fried pickles, and a round of drinks. Then, I wanted to order another round before happy hour ended at 7. Granted it was 6:58 but in my experience bar staff are usually 100% okay ringing in an order before the drinks are made to get the happy hour discount. Which is then usually reflected in the tip. She argued with me about it then acted like there was nothing she could do when she rang it up normal price. Finally, when I wanted to close my tab, she mad direct eye contact with me and proceeded to ignore me. When I politely said I just wanted to close my tab, she said âyeah me tooâ then kept walking to another patron at the bar. This was a really unfriendly experience and I...
Read moreMy bf and I stopped in before the Reds game for a quick bite. We both got the burger which was delicious, but service was absolutely awful. I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to due to how insanely bad it was. We sat at the bar and had to track down a server anytime we wanted something, despite a bartender being on. The original girl who waited on us disappeared for a straight hour and the other server working never checked in with us. We literally could have leaned over and poured our own beer and no one would have noticed. We had to request to have our food checked on because it had been 40 minutes and upon checking, it magically appeared - clearly it had been sitting in the window for 20 minutes. Our original server finally comes back, doesnât check in with us, and proceeds to join the other server for a smoke outside. Meanwhile weâre sitting there in need of beers and our check. Iâve never dined and ditched, but it definitely crossed our minds. Weâd made it clear we were going to the game, hoping to be in and out, but regardless, no patron should have to experience the complete lack of service we...
