I wanted an old photograph of my husband's deceased grandmother touched up and printed for his birthday. I ordered two copies, planning to give the other to his mother for mother's day. I placed the order on April 25th and was assured it would be completed by his birthday, on May 7th. I approved the proof on April 30th via email and assumed it was headed to print. When I called to let them know I'd be by to pick it up on the 7th, I was told that it still needed to be touched up. I explained that I'd already approved the proof, and it was supposed to be ready by the 7th. I can't say that the individual I spoke with on the phone seemed super apologetic: I was floored but decided there was no point in getting upset, and I told my husband his present was running late. The following day, Robin called to let me know my order was ready, but when I asked to confirm that there were two copies, she seemed confused and discovered they'd dropped the ball (a second time) and only printed one. I would have to wait another day to give my husband his (even more late) birthday present. Yet again, I was annoyed and disappointed, but what happened next is why I'm giving this company ONE star. When I went to pick up my order, the owner only took TEN PERCENT OFF!!!!TEN!!! In my opinion, everything that happened before this was a major mix up, and I was upset and super disappointed, but the fact that the company only bothered to take A FEW dollars off an order that they totally messed up is baffling to me. Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the service. If there were negative stars, I would have given it. I called to see if they were able to fix faded pictures I needed on the 25th. I was told they could.. After rushing to the shop and paying 180.00 dollars, I was assured I would get a call on Monday the 19tn,, to let me know the progress and if they needed additional funds. I did not get a call on the 19th or 20th. By the 21st, I tried calling and got voice mail. In the afternoon I came to the shop. Ryan, who took my order the week prior, was behind the counter. He could not remember my order. Then he told me it wasn't going to be looked at until the 27th. Two days after the event that I needed the photos for in the first place. I was livid. Not only did I not have the photos I needed for my event, but I had to pay 180.00 to Robin to do what I could have done on my home computer. They would not refund me my payment for all the" work "they had done. Scan in some pictures and do absolutely nothing else. Besides, take my money and cause me a great deal of aggravation. I recently found myself in a pickle, attempting to use a non-local vendor for a product that I didn't realize could be made here in Cincinnati. In my college days, I use to use Robin Imaging for everything and I thought they had gone out of business, fortunately for myself, they had not.
A local colleague expressed to me that if I needed amazing customer service, quality, and a lovely product, to wow my client, this was the place! In urgency I reached out to Robin Imaging to complete a nearly impossible task, and they not only came thru on this rapid request, but with such kindness, attentiveness, understanding, and respect for the end result. The product was lovely, the quality was top notch, and the interaction on the phone with the owner Deb, and the in-person at pickup, with one of the gentleman employees, was SUPERB!
