A beautiful waterfall a short scenic walk from Main Street in Beacon, NY. It's a wonderful idea for a day trip from NYC, especially for those who don't own a car or don't drive. 90 minutes of a train ride that is an absolute visual delight, and a 35-45 minute walk through Beacon, with many eateries to choose from, puts you near this lovely gem, with its incredible juxtaposition of calm waters that look like polished glass and a roaring waterfall where the water reaches the edge and plunges down. The views of distant mountains and foliage ( since we were there on the last day of October) on a crisp, strikingly bright fall day, with the bluest sky, the fresh air with earthy aromas of leaves and dirt only add to the allure...

This waterfalls is a hidden gem in beacon you can easily miss it if you're not aware or someone tell tells you. This waterfall is located on main st just passed east main st. Once main st curves after most of the shop and restaurants on your right handside. You do have to walk over a out of service train tracks but it is worth it. When you're in the right season, just after a storms melt or a pelting rainfall this is am incredibly roaring a soothing waterfall.

Be it gazing from the overlooking bridge, or milling about the sides looking upon this pretty site, it really is pleasing.

You can up the anti by dining at the restaurant overlooking the falls as well!...
