10/10 Highly Recommend for Event Catering
I can't recommend Joe and The Bagel Shoppe enough. We reached out about a month before our wedding to arrange catering for both our Welcome Party dinner and 'getting ready' platters the next morning. Joe was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and flexible in helping us plan and choose the buffet options. I spoke with him on the phone several times and he helped us with planning and ordering just the right amount of food to feed our 75 guests at the Welcome Party. Not only was the food delicious, but their pricing is also refreshingly honest, especially compared to other catering options in the area. The service was beyond excellent.
For our very DIY Welcome Party, they coordinated with the event space (Two Way Brewery – highly recommend them as well). By the time we arrived, everything was perfectly set up—the tables, catering trays, and food. They were in and out before we even got there, and I only wish we had the chance to thank them in person that day.
The 'getting ready' breakfast platters that were delivered to our wedding venue the next morning were phenomenal, and the fruits and coffee set the tone for an amazing day ahead.
On your wedding day, it's the most chaotic yet fun experience, and Joe and his team made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything food-related. They truly took care of us.

Read moreYou know, I see a lot of reviews about how the employees are miserable . Let's be honest, more than half of us don't work or have ever worked in a tourist city let alone, a busy restaurant . The fact that I see the same people working almost every day there is crazy, but guess what ... I don't expect them to have a full conversation with me and smile all day . I expect them to take my order and make my food properly . I'm not going there to have a conversation with them, I'm going there to buy my food and leave . It's always hot in there, and they look absolutely miserable from THE HEAT . The colorful haired girl seems to get the most complaints, when shes the one i prefer to make my order . I strongly believe a lot of these reviews are misguided because I go there frequently and I've never had an issue . Just read the menu, order your food AT ONCE and that's it . You guys expect people to just stop what they're doing to entertain you and that's not how it works . They are still one of the cheapest places to eat in beacon as well . The bagels are consistent, and if i ever had a problem, they would fix it without complaints . I'll continue to support this location and the staff members who work in the heat all day to serve people like me . Also, the bagel all the way with jalapeño cream cheese is delicious and definitely worth a try ! Can't go wrong with a BEC n...
Read moreI don't usually write negative reviews, but my experience yesterday at The Bagel Shoppe was unfortunately memorable for all of the wrong reasons, and sat with me the whole day.
I recently moved to Beacon and had a few friends, with their children, come to visit me for the day. I figured, "what better way to start the day off than a local bagel?!" When we entered the shop, the staff immediately told us to get into a separate line, where one server took our orders all together, even though we repeatedly told them we wanted to order separately (as we were several different families). But, they kept ignoring our requests.
Meanwhile, 2 dozen people came and went from the shop as all of the other servers were helping the rest of the customers. We ended up waiting 20+ minutes for our order, and when the food arrived in one big batch, all 4 families had to decipher who's food was whose, and then figure out who was paying for what. On top of all that, several folks in our party got the wrong bagel order. It was the most confusing, frustrating, and disorganized experience I have ever had in a bagel shop, and lived in NYC for many years.
Bottom line, I won't feel comfortable taking friends to The Bagel Shoppe until there is a serious change in their...
