I put a lot of thought into this review and I hope you are able to glean what you need to make an informed decision before joining this community:
I have a relative whom I love who is developmentally disabled. This poor human being grew up in such a toxic and damaging environment that he had to cultivate a personality that knew everything about everything. Think about that for a moment—Carl from Sling Blade mansplaining how the Trans-Pacific Partnership gave Vietnam an unfair holy advantage over Louisiana in the catfish farming market.
“Okay, so what happened was the Trans-Pacifical Agreement—like, the government people—said Vietnam could send catfish here, but the FDA don’t got no power over there, so like, they was feedin’ ‘em hormones and chemicals and probably stuff we don’t even got names for. And Louisiana, they gotta follow the rules, right? So their catfish got all expensive and no one wanted ‘em no more. It’s why the economy’s broke, kinda.”

Read moreI never had to pay to go into a dog park. Compared to every other dog park we've been to, this one by far is the smallest one. When we went, there weren't any dogs around. All Foxx wanted to do was stretch his legs a bit. We recently moved and this dog park is the closest one. I get all dog parks have their rules set in place, but as far as charging goes that's ridiculous and Beacon should be ashamed. Unfortunately he won't be going as often as he's used to, due to work schedules. Middletown dog park is a great one. It is big, clean, always full of friendly dogs and they have obstacles and fresh running water for the dogs. Montgomery dog park is a beautiful large dog park as well. Cornwall's dog park is big, quiet and really makes you feel like you are somewhere in the country side. All of those dog parks are free, large and full of friendly people and their dogs. Beacon sucks for many reasons, but this...
Read moreMy dog really enjoys her visits to the park, and I enjoy socializing with members while the dogs play. Several people have posted negative reviews for the sole reason the park is not public, so I wanted to make sure accurate information is here. This park is a 501c3 organization. It is a private park, which requires membership. The membership fees pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the park, insurance, etc. Information about this is available on the park's website.
So with that out of way, my dog and I have been going to the park for a little over a year now and it's been great. She has plenty of room to run around and sniff to her beagle heart's delight. It's also helped her to be more friendly - she is a rescue and a bit timid but the park has really helped her get more comfortable with people and other dogs. We...
