Finders Keepers Consignments — Attraction in City of Glens Falls

Came to the store 2 days ago. A lot of old used Walmart and Target clothes selling for close to retail when they don't even wash or clean items before putting them on the rack. The smell of the store is nauseating for that reason. No item from a store like target, walmart or a fast fashion store, that is used and not even fashionable should NOT be priced for more than 10 dollars (and that’s being generous!). Very disappointed by how this store has gone downhill, as I was a customer in their old location in the mall. They are selling what looks to be knockoffs that aren’t even in good condition for similar prices to authentic used handbags, very pathetic. Shoes that aren’t even designer, that are super worn out are over 20-50 dollars just because they were made 20+ years ago. Think of this place as an OVERPRICED THIFT STORE for 90 percent of their items and the other 10 percent as a consignment. Truly disappointed in who ever is managing this store because this store has potential to improve and capture the attention of more customers, especially tourists. Owner, if you’re going to price things the way you do, at least make sure it’s something desirable, fashionable to the public. This is coming from someone who lives downstate and is willing to pay a pretty penny...

I think lots of thrift stores are getting bold with how much they’re charging. Finders keepers tends to be absurdly overpriced… coach bags for $200+ that were quite ratty, glassware is pricey, clothing, just all around sadly. You’ be better off buying new items for such a similar price. The pricing here is inconsistent with quality. They certainly are searching for well-known brands and marking those items unusually high. Doesn’t matter the condition. Kind of takes the fun out of thrifting and finding hidden gems. Wasn’t worth my time personally. I know most thrift stores have a smell but this one will definitely slap you in the face. Hope they can work these issues out and be more realistic with pricing...

i would never go back to finders keepers for anything. the service by the owner herself was extremely rude. i had gone in to sell my old prom dress, but have a few questions on how it worked. the owner then took my prom dress and handed it back to me following up with "we don't want it" all because i had a question and then asked me to leave while making a scene in front of other costumers. i then got home and called to talk to the own , which was the lady that was rude to me, who told me i acted like i was entitled to something and that's why she didn't want my dresses, following up with hanging up on me. i would never go back to them or recommend them to others. i am only a 17...
